Provide the Manager, Undeveloped Interface Management Depar1ment with expert advice and consultation in Petroleum engineering activities that directly Impact short and long term development plans. Coordinate with E&P and New Gas Companies during development phase all related activities.
Maintain consistent technical Petroleum engineering standards across the different Petroleum Engineering stakeholders and provide dedicated follow up of the Petroleum Engineers' career development plans.
WORK PERFORMED AND MAIN ACCOUNTABILITY
Policies, Processes, Systems, Procedures and Control
• Implement all Undeveloped Interface Management Department policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and internal controls, so that the operational and development projects are accomplished safely, reliably and cost effectively
• Ensure the Implementation of processes, procedures and controls by junior slaff and support personnel
Human Resource Management
• Assure adequate resource planning, development, training and recruitment for Petroleum Engineering staff, in line with Gas Directorate objectives, with special emphasis on UAE Nationals
Budget and Plans
- Review budget estimates for drllflng, workover and all data collected for petroleum management activities
Health, Safety and Environment
- Support the HSE culture and comply with internal HSE policies, processes, procedures and standards
- Support the implementation of a sustainability culture and proactively seek to incorporate sustainability
Into the on-going work practices
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement In the quality. efficiency and speed of delivery of Company services through Improved functional processes
• Define best practices and methods for conceptually designed well completion, artificial lift method, stimulation programs, network modelling and production optimization as appropriate
• Transfer Petroleum Engineering experience across the Gas Directorate and technology transfer from
OPCOs and•the industry
• Define best practices for reserves additions and review in line with the Client's guidelines In order to assure effective reserves evaluation processes are In place
• Review application of new technology in areas related to production, injection and artificial lifts
• Review best International practice/methods and establish quality control procedures to enhance work processes
Management Information Systems (MIS) and Reports
• Develop Department MIS and progress reports in line with the Corporate Governance System to deliver timely and accurate Information which will support the efficient delivery of the Gas Directorate's objectives
• Contribute to regular management repor1s including weekly Exploration Division highlights, daily exploration/appraisal well drilling reports, monthly exploration/appraisal drilling overview and seismic bar chart and maps etc.
Design Concept Preparation
- Prepare complex and innovative design concepts for well and facilities over the life cycle of the development based on subsurface development scenarios in line with development guidelines
- Define and evaluate field operations over the life cycle of the development
- Identify well configuration characteristics including vertical deviated, horizontal, slim configuration, production and injection wells :
- Assess location of wells, lntra-field and export pipelines and the number end required capacity of these facilities
- Review the history of wells and verify well conditions including well head and downhole pressures, flow rates, etc.
- Assess facility sizing requirements. power needs, compressors, well tubing, well production casing size,
needs for artificial lifts and related expansion needs .
