About Your Job:
The Systems Operations Control Centre (SOCC) Crew Controller oversees the day to day operations of the crewing roster and monitors the operational environment for any changes to the flying program that will have impact on aircrew members duty period or rest requirements. A key responsibility is to ensure compliance with duty and rest requirements in accordance with GACAR regulations and Company operations manuals, and that all flights have the correct complement of crew. You will support the SOCC with crew duty period limits, information and options during any program disruption. You will publish the crew lists within the SOCC and the operational environment as required and you will be handling standby call-outs. You will be a focal point for crew contacts on the day of operation. You will ensure duties and operational decisions and consider aircrew fatigue risk management. You will keep the AIMS crew control system up to date and you will run expiry reports. You will participate in corporate emergency response, supporting crew control activities related to the event. This role is H24 shift work. The position requires constant liaison with Flight Deck, Cabin Crew, other SOCC team members and operational management.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have at least a Trade or Vocational Qualification and will have a minimum of 2 years job-related experience in Airline Operations Control Crew Control and/or scheduling. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to perform under pressure. You will have a detailed knowledge of Company Operations Manuals and GACAR regulatory requirements. You will have excellent English communication skills (written and oral). The ideal candidate will have an Intermediate knowledge level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills and experience with the AIMS crew control system.
