The client a is a major retail company based in Dubai that covers the full of the GCC Region.

The role of Director / Head Of Retail will be asked to Develop & implement sales strategies in alignment with the company's annual business plans and objectives. Develop & ensure implementation of sales plans for maximum brand penetration and profitability whilst minimising cost. Create, develop and manage a motivated sales team.

The principle accountability will be

Strategic:

1. Develop and implement sales objectives and goals across the company, including sales targets and budgets preparation and sales forecasts.

2. Direct department to achieve objectives established in the Company’s Strategic Plan.

3. Update the company on changing trends so the organization can make and adjust plans accordingly.

4. Integrate and align sales plans with available processes, IT systems, talent and other areas in order to increase the capability and success of sales force.

5. Create product segmentation strategies wherever needed to maximize trade opportunities across different sales channels.

6. Develop, manage, and nurture new business partnerships and accounts to accomplish volume and profit goals.

7. Develop and maintain a strong work relationship with key opinion leaders and contacts with other relevant agents.

8. Maintain high awareness of market trends in industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local, regional and international competitors are doing.

Operational:

1. Provides leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals.

2. Analyzes sales statistics to determine business growth potential.

3. Monitors Sales performance on a continual basis.

4. Seeks new customers and new sales opportunities and store locations, initiates action plan to approach and secure new business for the Company.

5. Leads and influences a successful and experienced team of Sales Managers.

6. Monitors, analyzes sales and market trends.

7. Collaborates closely with the Product and Marketing teams on developing new products for clients.

8. Ensures proper stock levels are maintained and dead stock depleted.

9. Monitors preparation of schedule of shop purchases for Gold and Diamond purchases.

10. Facilitates feedback to the Management regarding retail needs, operational needs, business opportunities, and marketing/sales programs.

11. Provides inputs to HR to identify and reward star performers through the Performance Management System and develop career / succession planning

12. Attracts, retains, trains, and motivates a diverse sales force.

13. Creates training and development programs for sales managers.

14. Standard measurements will focus on actual sales, profitability, and growth percentage within the business unit. In addition, developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of new customers will be a key indicator of future success expectations.

15. Administers the performance evaluation process for own team.

Due to the nature of this position the successful candidate must be male and speak Arabic and English fluently with a track record of success within a Corporate Retail environment.
