Overview

The Digital Marketing manager is responsible & accountable for implementing Digital Marketing strategy / Manage regional digital marketing initiatives and activities.

 Develop digital marketing strategy

o Define how each Brands would be driving the digital customer experience

o Develop a Digital Marketing strategy and roadmap for each Brand, including channels framework planning that includes Mobile, Search, Social, and Web strategies

o Develop integrated measurement strategy that suits the overall strategy

o Provide Digital marketing Information Research

o Share innovation and emerging trends, and propose opportunities to grow in the Digital space

o Make sure strategy is in line with the CRM and Customer Experience strategy

 Manage Regional Digital Marketing activities

o Manage Regional website activities that includes website design and usability, internet lead generation, and search engine optimization

o Manage the other regional digital marketing and communication activities that includes microsites, email marketing, search engine marketing, mobile marketing, social marketing, and online advertising

o Develop new and creative ways to use digital channels to help promote brands business objectives, integrate with offline marketing efforts, and engage with consumers

o Provide technical support and enhancement inputs to the various digital platforms/channels

 Manage Digital Budget

o Manage and control monthly level of spending according to budget targets

o Coordinate the financial approval and payment process of projects with GPSC & Finance

 Gather and provide Regional input for metrics reporting

o Define measurement metrics for Digital programs effectiveness

o Develop framework/KPI to evaluate success of a digital program

o Determine program effectiveness and optimization based on metrics

o Integrate Digital into Brand & Media tracking

o Marketing Scorecards reports

o Web metrics

o Special Projects as required

 Toolkit, process, and best practice document

o Created around the Digital Marketing Initiatives, leveraging knowledge of the SME agencies

o Document and share best practices among GMIO countries

o Coach/train Marketing team on digital marketing & on opportunities

o Launch and promote Digital across the organization, and different departments, as a business strategy

o Come up with processes and optimization methods

 On how to integrate digital into marketing mix

 To provide quality assurance

 Develop a Digital project workflow

Scope within Digital marketing elements and social media:

• GM MEO Websites

o Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, ACDelco

o Design strategy for brand standards, design and image

o Navigation and information architecture strategy

o Content strategy

o Customer Data Capture Mechanism

o Current website capabilities assessment

 Recommend new website functionalities e.g.: Facilitate Information sharing and site retrieval: RSS, tagging

o Work with current internet agencies to activate the strategy

• Search Engine Optimization

o Develop Search Engine Optimization Plan

o Map the keywords with individual pages

o Provide keyword implementation instructions to Implementation Agencies

o Liaise with internet Agencies for keyword translation in local languages & copy writing for page titles & descriptions

o Liaise with Internet agencies to implement search optimization

o Internet agencies to do the programming

o Monitor progress in Organic Search Results & give inputs to Implementation Agencies
