VOTE FOR TRACEY LANGE IN THE 2013 HUISGENOOT TEMPO AWARDS AND STAND A CHANCE TO WIN
New Cape Town audio brand Smile 90.4FM’s Tracey Lange, has been nominated for Presenter of the Year for her work on the television showBravo! in the 2013 Huisgenoot Tempo Awards. This year’s awards boast new categories to vote for your favorite acts or productions, with nineteen of the voting categories being controlled by the vote of the public.
“What a complete surprise and honour. I’ve only been doing this for a year and to be nominated is a dream come true. It’s greater than I ever thought possible. But now the real work starts because everyone will be watching to see if there is any fuss to be made,” says Lange.
Lange has been nominated in the Presenter of the Year category (a division of the Movie, Television, Radio and Books category) along with Coenie de Villiers (Kwela), Charlene Truter (Pasella), Katlego Maboe (Expresso) and Nataniël (Die Nataniël Tafel). “I’m not sure how great my chances are to be honest, purely because the others have been around for so long and have a great following. Also, they are exceptional people to be nominated along with and they are really talented. It’s up to the public now.”
Listeners can tune into Lange’s show from Monday to Thursday between 17:00 and 22:00 and, Sundays from 18:00 to 22:00 on Smile 90.4 FM. “I’d like listeners and viewers to vote for me because winning this would be the cherry on top for me. Another dream come true!”
Lange continues: “I must tell you I love doing what I do. It’s a dream that I had no more than 5 or 6 years ago and here I am today. I love connecting with the public and sharing my days and joys with them. After a year on TV, getting dressed up by the greatest designers, having my hair and makeup done by the best in the industry, I still get excited. I still feel so blessed and love to share it with everyone. I share it on Facebook and Twitter and refuse to pretend that this is something I’m used to and should have. I want those who like to fantasise about being in this industry, to live vicariously through me. That and the fact that I laugh at myself very easily! I have no problem laughing at myself when I make a mistake or if I feel I was really stupid.”
Vote online on Huisgenoot’s website or via SMS (all participants and their SMS codes can be found in the latest issue of Huisgenoot) and stand in line to win your share of prizes. Each voter stands a chance of winning the grand prize: A Suzuki Swift 1.4 GLS to the value of R181 900.
