This week I had the privilege of delivering one of the keynote talks at Vision, the annual conference on all things media and creativity, which took place in Bristol. The two-day conference included speakers such as Uber’s general manager Fred Jones, PR god Mark Borkowski, Tim Westwell, co-founder of Pukka (the tea people!), National Trust’s Tom Barker and Channel 4’s Geoff White.

I posted some of the highlights on Twitter, and I took over the Battenhall Snapchat (username Battenhall) for the day where you can see some live coverage on our story (hurry… it’s there just for 24hrs).

My talk (which went ok, phew!) was on the five waves of innovation shaping the future of social media. If you weren’t there, and if you don’t like flicking through slides, the five waves are:

Vlogger mega flipping superstars ruling the planet

Antisocial – messaging apps becoming the new social media, and social networks becoming messaging apps

Badvertising and community management

Generation K – the new millennial, what makes them tick and how to engage them

The social CEO – the B2B side, how everyone is a spokesperson for a brand because of social and what to do about it

My slides from the talk are below, and here on Slideshare.
