Palm Beach, Aruba – Riu Palace Aruba celebrated its 9th anniversary by hosting a special Gala event this past Wednesday, July 20. The Gala celebrated Riu Palace Aruba’s prosperity in business and its gratitude to loyal guests and employees.

The celebration began with entertainers on stilts greeting arriving guests, making for the perfect photo opportunity against a RIU Hotels & Resorts backdrop.  General Manager Vanessa Fernandez and her department heads were present upon arrival to greet guests as the anniversary celebration commenced on Riu Palace Aruba’s pool deck. The entire Riu Palace staff was dressed elegantly in black and white for the special occasion.

The evening-long celebration was festive and decorative in true RIU fashion. From a raised platform in the swimming pool, a live band played contemporary Latin music and Caribbean hits, while poolside champagne stations kept celebratory toasts going all night long. Dinner was served in the main dining room, which was dressed in elegant red linens with a buffet style dinner. After dinner, guests were entertained poolside by “The Tropical Revue” dancers, and anniversary cake was served, making for the perfect end to a celebratory evening.

“I am so grateful to be a part of the RIU Hotels & Resorts family. We strive for success at Riu Palace Aruba and I am so thrilled that we are able to celebrate nine years of achievements,” said Fernandez. “The Gala was the perfect opportunity to share our gratitude and celebrate this milestone with our valued guests and employees.”
