Woods Basement Systems, Inc. has been awarded the 2012 St. Louis Better Business Bureau (BBB) TORCH Award. The BBB serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois presented BBB TORCH Awards to 11 businesses and two charities and Student of Ethics Awards to three students at a luncheon on Friday, November 2, at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis, Missouri. Owners Rick and Anna Lee Woods accepted the award for Woods Basement Systems.

“The BBB TORCH awards recognize companies and charities who exemplify exceptional customer service and ethical business practices. All of these organizations help meet the BBB’s mission of building trust in the marketplace,” said Michelle L. Corey, BBB president and CEO.

The BBB evaluates businesses for their commitment to customer service through exceptional standards for ethical business practices. A committee made up of previous TORCH Award winners looks at how the company benefits customers, employees and the larger community.

"Being awarded the St. Louis BBB Torch Award is an honor that we have long sought after," said Wayne Woods, Woods Basement Systems General Manager. "We understand the importance of providing a WOW! Service experience to every one of our customers and greatly appreciate being recognized for it."

Woods Basement Systems' commitment to providing the absolute best in quality customer service extends well beyond the St. Louis market. Woods was also the first company to be awarded the Central Illinois BBB TORCH Award for Business Integrity three times.
