Oklahoma State was favored by 21 points heading into Morgantown and left with a 9 point loss in a game where the Mountaineers led the whole way. It's rare you see Vegas on the wrong side of a number by 30 points, but every time WVU tried to give the game away with kicking miscues, turnovers, and outright generosity, Oklahoma State refused to take the bait. Gundy would rather earn that win the right way and now an unexpected and embarrassing L is in the books for the Cowboys. Baylor and OU have to be very pleased with this box score.

Oklahoma
The Sooners could not have gotten off to a better start in South Bend, picking off Tommy Rees (just add an e, man) twice in the first three minutes, good for a 14-0 head start. LB Corey Nelson continues to make plays for Mike's D as he housed one of those picks for a 24 yd TD return. Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly on the unfortunate start:
"You never expect to not pick up the simplest of stunts and have your quarterback get the ball stripped. You never expect not to run the right route when you're supposed to," he said.
Mack Brown disagrees. Resist the surge, hello?! Blake Bell was efficient, 22/30 for 230 yards and 2 TDs. The Irish moved the ball well on the ground at nearly 8 yards per carry (29/220) then Tommy Rees would manifest his destiny as a thoroughly average QB and end the drive. OU's DL can be pushed around but fortunately for them, the Big 12 lacks an elite OL capable of doing so other than perhaps Baylor.

Iowa State
The Cyclones forced four turnovers against Tulsa and turned them into three rushing touchdowns, earning some highly aggressive fist pumping from Paul Rhoads on the sidelines. Cyclone RB Aaron Wimberly ran for 137 yards on 19 carries but fantasy owners that started super sleeper FB Jeff Woody had to like the stat line of 6 carries, 12 yards, 3 TDs. (Another good place to mention that nobis60 participates in 34 NFL fantasy leagues and I'm afraid to ask how many college. Thirty Four. please question his sanity via @knowthegame60.) QB Sam Richardson managed tempo well, cranking out 86 plays for 434 yards, and converted 8 third downs along with zero turnovers. But this is against Tulsa....so don't piss your Dockers just yet, Texas fan. Save it for next week in Dallas.

Oklahoma State
The Cowboys had to feel pretty good about the matchup with West Virginia heading into the game, especially considering it was QB Clint Trickett's first career start and the Mountaineers were coming off the worst loss of the Holgo era. One of the advantages of a blackout hangover is you put things behind you very easily and Holgo rallied his troops, showing something nobody expected to see from a young, flawed Mountaineer squad. Basically Okie State got BYU'd except rather than rushing for 300 yards, Trickett threw for 300 and 3 scores. The Cowboys' three turnovers were more than they had in first three games combined. How many different women is Holgo dating right now? You guessed it. Three.
Next Up: Kansas State
TCU
This will be hard to believe for Longhorn fans, but TCU was able to turn over Garrett Gilbert and SMU five times, four of them INTs, which is still three less than his average per game at Texas. With the 48-17 victory, the Horned Frogs retained the highly coveted Iron Skillet Trophy for the second straight year. It ranks just behind the Cy-Hawk Trophy as the least prestigious rivalry trophy in college football. After a relatively quiet start to the season, TCU's D is ramping up, notching 7 sacks to go along with the five turnovers. And this was without star DE Devonte Fields who's mission to skip the entire 2013 season is still intact. Between suspension and injuries, he's only played a few quarters of football this season and is not likely to threaten his 18.5 TFL record set last season.
