The Coffeewoman is an event about empowerment. It’s about supporting and inspiring our fellow woman.
Listen to a group of talented professionals speak about their perspectives and experiences navigating their careers in the coffee industry. We want you to be a part of the conversation. Enjoy snacks and a glass of wine. This night is all about you.
We will open the event with our guest of honor Hailee Bland Walsh owner of the City Gym and advocate for equality. Learn more about Hailee.
There will also be two panel discussions:
The Coffee Professional:Â moderated by Sarah Allen of Barista Magazine. She will be joined by panelist Sarah Kluth, Director of Coffee Operations for Revelator Coffee; Mansi Chokshi, Director of Membership for the Specialty Coffee Association: Teresa von Fuchs, Director of Wholesale for Irving Farm Coffee Roasters; and Jess Steffy, owner of Square One Coffee.
The Coffee Competitor: moderated by Laila Willbur, Director of Coffee for Cherry Street Coffee House and the 2014 USBC. She will be joined by panelists Andrea Allen, co-owner of Onxy Coffee Labs and 2nd place South Central Barista Competition 2015; Holly Bastin, co-owner of Roast Ratings and a consultant and project manager for Licata Coffee Consultants; Jennifer Bonchak, founder + CEO of Slingshot Coffee Co. and 2nd place US Brewers Cup 2015; and Mallory Leight, freelance recipe developer and event coordinator and USBC Head Judge.
We will be capturing information throughout the night, key points and topics, so that we can walk away with a common voice that we hope to share with our industry as a whole.
We hope you come to this event to meet new people and be apart of a bigger discussion. We hope that you leave this event feeling connecting, inspired, and supported.
