After my freakout, I resolved to order our holiday photo cards ASAP and to make my shopping list. I’m the kind of person who feels back in control once I’ve made a list of everything I need to do. After a quality brainstorming session and a few emails, I had my entire Christmas shopping list complete. After the kids went to bed Wednesday night, I got to work. Click click click on the computer. I’ve already bought about 50% of the gifts on the list.
So what’s on my holiday wish list?
I don’t know! Usually there is something I really want. A few years ago it was a crock pot. Last year it was a really nice 12-inch hard anodized sautee pan. This year the only thing I really want is sleep. So instead I asked my husband for a special date night – dinner out and a performance of some kind. Last year we went to the Providence Symphony. This year I’d like to see a dance performance, hear some folk or jazz music, or something along those lines. I miss my days in NYC when I was surrounded my cultural events. Heck, I’d run into beautiful artistry on the subway!
