NRF 2013 is off to a busy start with thousands of attendees perusing the latest offerings in retail technology, ordering, point of sale software and hardware and much more.  Here are some of the many new products and services released by vendors.
APG is rolling out its Wi-Fi cash drawer.       How easy POS installations have become!   Additionally, APG will be talking about it's NetPRO® interface which is available with Ethernet, wireless Ethernet and Bluetooth, this cash drawer communicates with any mobile POS device for normal drawer operation. The NetPRO® cash drawers also offer Biometric and bar-code claiming for local protection, supports time and date stamp with every transaction, improves loss prevention functions through security camera activation, provides mobile alerts to store management for unusual events, offers remote tech support, asset management and much more.

Intel is demonstrating its virtual system in collaboration with leading retailers, which includes adidas, Best Buy and Kraft Foods that aims to integrate the best of online, mobile and in-store shopping with traditional retail environments. Through a touchscreen interface and 3-D rendered graphics, shoppers can use the adidas Virtual Footwear Wall to select products on a virtual shelf, view the product from any angle, and obtain additional product information.

Wincor Nixdorf is showcasing it mobile POS concept, based on its TP.net software platform, which allows retail companies to serve their customers not only at the checkout, but throughout the entire store as well. Conceived as a sales support aid for store personnel, the mobile solution complements the company’s existing checkout portfolio. A key benefit of the solution is no special hardware is required apart from a tablet PC, either a consumer tablet or a retail-hardened device. The mobile POS solution incorporates all TP.net software POS functions in a tablet, offering the full functionality of a traditional stationary checkout.

Pricer, a world leader in providing electronic shelf labeling solutions to retailers, is demonstrating its latest offering. Pricer is the largest electronic shelf label (ESL) company worldwide  with over 7,000 installations across in more than 40 countries,  The Pricer solution provides high-speed updates of price and product information to electronic shelf labels, optimizing operational efficiency and profitability for retail stores.  Its customers include Europe’s largest food retailers, including Cora, Casino, Coop, Carrefour, and Intermarché.

OKI Data  is demonstrating its new LD630/640 and LE840/850 Series of label printing devices
equipped with advanced features and functionality to enhance efficiency and optimize productivity in
retail settings. In addition to these new products, OKI Data will showcase select color and monochrome
multifunction printers and thermal label and point-of-sale (POS) printers, plus mobile printing and in-store
signage printing solutions in booth C454.
