Maybe it’s just another one of those baffling coincidences of life. Then again, maybe not.
Either way, the curious convergence of the following facts does seem a bit too fluky for me. Late last April, Bruce Jenner – all freakishly gussied up as his “feminine” alter ego “Caitlyn” – took advantage of Donald Trump’s invitation to test his open door policy at Trump Tower in New York City by triumphantly prancing his male parts into the women’s restroom. Then, on the heels of the former Olympian’s brazen publicity stunt, the clueless cranks over at Fox News began senselessly and loudly spouting off the deceptive pro-transgender talking points like never before. The decreasingly conservative news network has subsequently made it more than abundantly clear that they’re flushing the slightest semblance of objectivity down the toilet, and the former undisputed ratings giant is now unabashedly in the tank for gender chaos. Their baseless attacks on North Carolina’s Governor Pat McCrory and his state’s Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act (HB2) have been, as if on cue, noticeably ramped up.
Parroting the words of his network colleague and political commentator Charles Krauthammer, hit job hack Chris Wallace, the host of Fox News Sunday, misleadingly pooh-poohed North Carolina’s “bathroom bill” as a “solution in search of a problem.” Wallace supposedly backed up his point by citing a report from the not-so-nonpartisan PolitiFact, which concluded that there “haven’t [been] any instance[s] of criminals convicted of using transgender protections as cover in the United States.”
Then, a week ago, an equally short-sighted Bill O’Reilly catatonically toed the liberal line, asking guest Katie Pavlich, “If somebody wants … is born a woman and then they want to become a man and the surgeons can do it, should the governor of North Carolina care? I don’t care. I’m sure you don’t care. Juan doesn’t care … he doesn’t know what it means. Why is this a big issue?” Besides being obliviously in the dark about the larger ramifications of this particularly pressing topic, O’Reilly’s words were dripping with a heavy dose of boneheaded apathy.
Fox favorite Megyn Kelly likewise took her turn at grilling the embattled Governor of the Tar Heel State. “The question that many have is what is your fear?” she demanded to know of Pat McCrory. The Kelly File host then resorted to one of the Left’s preferred bait-and-switch tactics.
“There is a misconception that transgendered are somehow molesters and they’re not. That’s not true,” Megyn explained as she inaccurately framed the issue, “Typically, male molesters are heterosexual and if they want to sneak into a bathroom they’ll do it. But in 90 percent of the cases molestation happens with someone you know.”
“So what is the fear with the transgender situation and the bathrooms?” She sneeringly asked again.
More recently, Megyn Kelly got in a few more jabs at Texas’ Lt. Governor Dan Patrick by leveling similar lame-brained arguments as relates to this particular subject.
So, for the umpteenth time, this issue is about much more than just bathrooms. Fitting rooms, showers, locker rooms, shelters, bathhouses and saunas are also at stake. Every single sex-segregated space has unfortunately become a battlefield in the culture war. No place is sacred as far as the radical activists are concerned. Furthermore, the intentionally mislabeled transgender “bathroom” ordinances implemented by cities like Charlotte are broadly applied to any and all transgender individuals, not merely to those who conform their appearance to the gender with which they delusionally self-identify. A masculine-looking biological male, according to the liberal lunacy of the day, does not have to don a dress or mutilate his manhood to enter any public area designated as “women-only.” Extremist pee-pee politics dictate that anyone, based upon nothing more than a neurotic whim, must be permitted to enter the private accommodations of their choice regardless of what they look like. And since there is absolutely no way to tell the difference between a heterosexual male predator and a transgender “female” who still outwardly presents as male, every peeping tom and creep out there will certainly jump at the chance to abuse such reckless policies in order to gain easier access to our wives and daughters at their most vulnerable times. (Several examples of such criminal mischief are provided later in this article.)
Worse yet, this disturbing state of affairs is on it’s way to a school system near you. President Obama dropped a controversial bombshell on Friday by arbitrarily issuing an imperial edict that requires every public school in the nation to provide transgender students with unfettered access to facilities, such as restrooms, showers, and locker rooms, of the opposite biological sex. The despotic decree explicitly declares that “there is no medical diagnosis or treatment requirement that students must meet as a prerequisite to being treated consistent with their gender identity.” In other words, as I discussed earlier, these policies contain no stipulations whatsoever requiring students to prove their transgender fetish or to match his/her appearance to their self-proclaimed gender, which is precisely what makes this mandate so onerous.
Based upon a very strained interpretation of Title IX, the regime is threatening to withhold federal funds from any local district that refuses to capitulate to the White House’s disruptive demands. To be entirely blunt about it, this is another case of executive overreach and the raw abuse of unconstitutional authority. “I have perused Article II of the Constitution and I find nothing granting the federal government the power to set bathroom guidelines for all 98,000 public schools in the nation,” outspoken blogger Matt Walsh scathingly asserted, “Obama has never let such trifles slow him down in the past, I realize, but this may actually represent his most strikingly dictatorial and illegitimate action to date.”
The president is scandalously holding our nation’s students hostage through a thug-like “blackmail” scheme and, as AFR’s Bryan Fischer noted, he is quite literally doing the “devil’s work” by imposing an evil agenda that strikes at the divinely-designed basis of human nature. The Departments of Education and Justice are being glaringly leveraged as bureaucratic hammers to crush cities and towns into adopting genderless polices in our educational institutions, and we shouldn’t stand for it.
Speaking on behalf of a backpedaling administration, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest had the unmitigated gall to deny the financially coercive elements of the directive and instead slanderously point the finger at the president’s political opponents as if they had fabricated this inconvenient detail, but it very unambiguously states that schools must comply “as a condition of receiving Federal funds.” The inmates, as they say, are definitely running the asylum.
For the sake of unmistakable clarity and to prevent any of our devious detractors from misconstruing my words, let me unequivocally repeat myself one more time: It is the heterosexual male deviant who is the primary reason for our opposition to these androgyny-promoting ordinances. A case in point being what happened at the Super Target in Frisco, Texas on May 3 – just weeks after the nation’s second largest retailer decided to endanger their patrons by putting in place a nutty transgender bathroom policy. Police are currently seeking a male suspect who entered the ladies’ changing room at the department store’s Frisco location and videoed an underage girl while she was undressing. As this shocking incident clearly illustrates, we’re talking about something that goes well beyond just bathrooms or dudes in dresses. Nevertheless, we’re supposed to pay no attention to the deranged man behind the fitting room curtain because the wizards of wackiness have pigheadedly decided to make transgenderism the pathological cause du jour, and every sane member of society will be forced by the long arm of government or extortion threats, if necessary, to toss privacy, safety and common sense out the window as the passé relics of a bygone, puritanical era.
