Boulder is known for being town full of hippies, hikers, bikers and runners. But Boulder is also a very artistic town, which means that it must have a film festival. The 10th Boulder International Film Festival runs this weekend, February 14-16 at the Boulder Theater, E-Town Hall, Boulder High, and the First United Methodist Church. The festival features a variety of movies, both feature length and short films.

Besides an exciting collection of films, the BIFF also features live music with the Singer/Songwriter series at the Filmmaker Lounge at the Lazy Dog.  Special events include the tribute to Shirley MacLaine at 7:30pm on Saturday, the Valentines Day Foovie Fundraiser, and the closing party featuring food, music and a screening of Tim’s Vermeer.

Those who have taken our Boulder tour will probably remember the story of the famous frozen dead guy in Nederland.  Well, the founders and still chief organizers of the BIFF are Robin and Kathy Beeck, who also made the film Grandpa’s In the Tuff Shed (Sorry, it is not on the BIFF schedule).  You will probably also remember our story at the Boulder Theater, so keep on eye out while you are in there for George. And remember we will be doing tours in Boulder and Denver this Saturday at 2.
