The Last Shows of the Pre-SEMA Season
Time To Gear Up For The Final SEMA Rush
It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole 7 months since the crazy three days that made up the 48-Hour Corvette build. And even though we’re surrounded with it every day, it’s even harder to believe that in less than 3 weeks, we’ll be in Las Vegas! If you’re not going to be attending the show but will still be in town, come see us at SEMA Ignited, the official SEMA Show after-party (more details at www.semaignited.com).
It’s not all about SEMA here at the shop, though; not only are we continuing with normal operations, our engineering department just might have some important announcements coming in the next couple of weeks…but you’ll have to stay tuned for that news!
The 48-Hour Corvette and driver Chris Smith competed in the last USCA points event of the season this past weekend in Fontana, CA. The pair performed phenomenally, despite the heat wave passing through (it may not have been hot to the locals, but for Hoosiers gearing down for winter, it sure seemed hot to us!). Chris brought in a 6th place finish; incredible, considering the amount of competition during the last points-battle of the season! RideTech was also represented by The Boss (Bret Voelkel), in his silver 1969 Mustang, James Crosby in his Green Monster, and quite a few other competitors. This was the last event of the pre-SEMA season for the RideTech crew, as the official countdown clock for SEMA has begun here in the shop.
The RideTech roadshow also stopped in Biloxi this past weekend for Cruisin’ The Coast 2015; this show continues to get better, year after year! This year, they report the breaking of several attendance records, including pre-registration for 2016…already, more than 1,000 cars have registered for an event that’s over a year away! Not only was the weather perfect, there were approximately 10,000 cruisers from 45 states at this year’s show. With numbers like that, no matter where you look, there’s always something to see…literally!

Muscle cars have always been the backbone of hotrodding…and now they are hotter than ever! The problem is, nobody wants to put up with the ride quality, handling, and braking technology of 40 years ago. After driving a new Camaro or Mustang, the compromises of a standard leafspring suspension just doesn’t cut it! Now, there is a solution!
The Ridetech Bolt-On 4-Link installs onto the oem leafspring mounts of your prized musclecar… no cutting, no fabrication, just 4 small tabs to weld to the axle for your upper bars. The ride height of your car is typically lowered by approximately 2”. The ride quality is dramatically improved over stock… instead of a wallowing soft ride you’ll experience a crisp, controlled ride quality that will inspire more confidence for performance driving.
The area of largest improvement is the handling and cornering performance. The system eliminates the oem leafspring and replaces them with a 4 link rear suspension. The 4 link bars offer more precise positioning of the rear axle to eliminate flexing and increase stability through the corners. When combined with a ShockWave or a Ridetech Coil-Over front suspension kit, your classic musclecar can now enjoy the benefits of modern handling and ride quality technology.
If you want your classic muscle car to ride and drive like a modern performance car, the Bolt-On 4-Link system is the perfect solution!
We wouldn’t expect you to bolt on any suspension component that we haven’t thoroughly tested. We regularly use our cars in a wide range of performance driving environments, as well as plain ol’ highway time. Our 4-link systems have proven time and time again to provide not only ground-shakingtraction, but a great highway ride as well.
