GREENFIELD, CALIF. -- Harry “Doc” Ervin, a superintendent who runs a four-school, 3,500-student district in a rural part of Monterey County, has been selected as the top administrator at Bakersfield City School District, the state’s largest elementary school district, district officials said Tuesday.
BCSD board members will sign a resolution March 29 confirming the appointment, ending a months-long search that spanned the nation. His anticipated start date is July 1.
