Local nonprofit Be Finally Free will be holding a luau fundraiser to supplement their upcoming year of rehabilitation missions. The event will be held in conjunction with local entertainment company Whirlwind Productions.
Be Finally Free works to council inmates and their families at prisons in Kern County and across the United States. They’re goal is to break the cycle of violence and drug abuse through positive outreach to both adults and juvenile offenders. The organization was nominated for their work at this year’s Beautiful Bakersfield Awards, held by the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce.
