(This is an edited version of a proof post I made for someone. I made a temporary sideblog for it, but now I want to delete that, so I’m editing this and reblogging it to my main before deleting the sideblog. It was made in late 2015, so it’s not completely up to date.)
INTRO
The other boys have endured as much libel, smear campaigning, forced closeting, and oppression from their team as Harry and Louis have. If you see how much of a mismatch there is between words that are put in their mouths during interviews and what they’ve said and acted like in real life, you can see it easily.
LIAM AND ATTITUDE
For instance, Liam’s Attitude interview earlier this year was used as a management platform to deny Larry, be vaguely homophobic, and put down the fans in general. That’s not who Liam is whatsoever.

Liam wasn’t behind that interview. In fact, Liam and Zayn are more than likely in a relationship.
ZIAM IS AS REAL AS LARRY (OR AS WORTHY OF INVESTIGATING AT LEAST)
The problem in the fandom is that people see Harry and Louis looking very much like they’re in a relationship and then they assume that another couple would be absurd. They think it’s statistically unlikely and crazy. However, that’s not how statistics work. They’re independent events, so the outcome of one doesn’t affect the outcome of the other.
In fact, because they’re in the entertainment industry which tends historically to attract more LGBT+ people, and because Liam and Zayn are in a safe atmosphere within the bubble of their friends that are willing to accept anything they want to express, that made them more likely to have been open about themselves and their attraction for each other when it developed.
There’s just as much proof for Liam and Zayn as there is for Harry and Louis.

MESSED UP IMAGES FOR EVERYONE
So, just for the moment assume I’m right about Louis and Harry, and Liam and Zayn. That means that Liam, a gay/bi/etc man, was put on the front cover of Attitude only to be used as a tool to put down the LGBT+ organization in his fandom and closet his two friends.
This isn’t the first time Liam was made to look homophobic in the press or social media. His whole connection to Duck Dynasty has been just as staged and was very damaging to his reputation in the fandom. There’s still a large number of people, mostly people who only believe in Larry and not Ziam, who don’t like him because they say he’s homophobic and stupid. These are the traits that have been assigned to him by their management.
Just like Louis has been made to look irresponsible and homophobic by their management. Just like Zayn has been made to look unfaithful and erratic. Just like Harry has been made to look pretentious and separated from the band. Just like Niall has been made to look like a homewrecker and like he has nothing more on his brain than food and sports.
BEARDING
For Zayn, if you read the recent Billboard interview and then saw how the Mirror and Daily Mail reported, you can tell that his association with girls and fake relationship with Perrie has constantly been used to her advantage. To give her and her group promo and gain sympathy for them. This is an example of that:

He’s been painted as a cheater multiple times, which is grossly incorrect as the relationship between him and Perrie was never real. The cheating scandals were set up for her benefit and Little Mix promo.

It was incredibly predictable that Louis and Eleanor, Liam and Sophia, and Zayn and Perrie would break up this year. It was predictable because all of them are fake relationships under the supervision of their current management and since their current management soon won’t have control, the relationships had to end. The contracts were up as it were.

ZAYN DIDN’T QUIT THE WAY WE’RE TOLD
Now on to Zayn leaving. Zayn didn’t leave of his own free will. This is the thing it’s hardest to get people to see because there’s already enough BS going on that you get called a conspiracy theorist and scoffed at. It’s hard to get people to even look into it because it hits a soft, hurting spot. People assume you’re just not taking Zayn’s leaving well and you’re making things up to comfort yourself. I don’t say things without proof however.
Think about it: Zayn leaves 9-11 months before his contracts end, in the middle of a leg at the beginning of a tour, breaks at least 3 contracts and probably more, and nothing is done about it? No lawsuits, no fuss at all?
Modest, who made Niall perform on stage for over a year when he needed knee surgery (he actually dislocated his knee at least 2 times on stage and kept on), who put Harry on stage when he couldn’t even talk because of an illness, let Zayn leave with no penalties because he just didn’t like it anymore?
What’s happened this year?
babygate which makes Louis look terrible
short-lived Methgate which makes Niall look terrible
NiallxMelissa matching the recurring pattern of Niall looking like a homewrecker in all his “relationships”
Harry being isolated which makes him look like he’s trying to ditch the band
Attitude which made Liam look awful
Liam supposedly caused a concert to be canceled either because of sickness or a mental breakdown which doesn’t make him look very stable
a regular break being treated like a disbandment which makes the whole group look done for
Zayn quitting makes him look like a jerk and fits into the scheme of things nicely, doesn’t it? It makes the band look like they don’t get along as well as they claim and that they’re probably on the way to ending now.
WHY WOULD MODEST/SYCO DO THIS
For Modest and maybe Syco, they’re losing the biggest client they ever lucked into having. How is it going to make them look that their client wants to leave them? It’s going to make them look like they’re small fry at best and like they’re abusive at worst.
So their solution is to burn the 1D brand to the ground as much as possible. If they make it look like 1D are awful people and never got along and were always 2 seconds from collapse, then the blame for 1D leaving is on the boys and not them. They actually get praise for “keeping 1D together” as long as they have and for “making them successful” despite themselves. That’s exactly what The Sun has been reporting and what Louis Walsh has been spouting.
The boys have never gone along quietly with the things they were forced to do, so it’s no wonder there’s no love lost and Modest and/or Syco are willing to go with that strategy.

MORE ABOUT THE SHADINESS OF ZAYN’S SITUATION
Why for the love of everything would Zayn go through all the hassle and mess and bad PR of quitting when he could have just waited a few months if going solo was his goal? Liam looks like he’s going to be releasing solo music and Harry might. Clearly they didn’t have to leave to do it.
Why, for someone who wants to go solo, have we heard nothing from Zayn? Three total print interviews, the first exclusive with The Sun, the second denying Larry when there was no reason to even bring it up, and the third hitting all the same points as the second did except for the Larry denial. There’s one audio interview and absolutely no video. For someone trying to promote himself, his own words and thoughts have been pretty absent.
Why isn’t he allowed to speak from his own mouth? Why did the other boys stay absolutely silent about it from their own mouths for over a month? Why is he claiming to not be censored when his image is EXACTLY the way it always has been while in 1D?

Why, if Zayn is so free to be himself, is that Zayn being buried? Why up until recently was he smiling when talking to fans, but deliberately not smiling while in pictures they took with him? At the very least, it has to be clear that all that bluster is a PR strategy for his solo career in R&B/rap rather than him being free to be himself. At the most, it’s very possible he’s not completely separated from his old team and they’re influencing his PR still.

Doesn’t that seem a little inconsistent? People know it doesn’t make sense actually. They know, but they assume it’s all reality which is why you get so many posts on Tumblr raging at how illogical Zayn is being. They think he’s crazy because it really doesn’t make sense, but that’s because it’s not Zayn doing those things.
There’s so many things I could bring up, but I hope that shows the reasons why we started looking into his leaving not being legit in the first place. There are obviously things that don’t add up.
