(A day later, Twilight Sparkle and the others are still doing research trying to find anything to help Crescendo - Crescendo was placed on surveillance with a team of Nova's guards in case he had another attack - Nova was about to ask her mother if she found anything out, and walked into the library to see Twilight speaking to Princess Luna)
Nova: Princess Luna, you're back! Did you find anything out?
Luna: That is not exactly the case, however.. *exchanges looks with Twilight - Twilight looks at Nova, sighs and turns back to her book - Luna walks up to Nova and puts her hoof on her shoulder* My sister is wishing to speak with you.
Nova: Princess Celestia is looking for me? Why me?
Luna: I can not be the one to tell you.. Please, my sister is waiting for you in Canterlot. She will explain everything. I must stay here with Twilight for now..
Nova: A-alright.. *turns and starts heading towards the entrance when she hears an angry scream*
Crescendo: Stop following me around like I'm some kind of convict! Leave me alone!
Guard 1: Prince Crescendo, please calm down, this is for your own good!
Crescendo: For my own good?! How is treating me like a prisoner for my own good?! *starts up his magic aimed at the Guard*
Guard 2: Captain Nova!
Nova: *runs over and gets in between Crescendo and the Guard - gasps - Crescendo's eyes were turning dark, almost black* Crescendo, stop it! You can fight this Crescendo, stop!
Crescendo: *grinds his teeth and glares down at his sister - his horn flickering dark magic - sudenly he is flung to the side and pinned to the floor by magic, Luna steps forward*
Luna: It seems the dark force within him is getting stronger.. Nova, I can take care of this, you need to get to Celestia. Go!
Nova: *trying to catch her breath, looks back at Crescendo - his eyes are back to normal and filling with tears, but he remains silent - Nova leaves for Canterlot*

*Nova gets to the Canterlot castle and sees Celestia outside waiting*
Nova: Princess Celestia! *lands* Luna told me you needed me?
Celestia: *Stares at Nova silently for a moment, then nods* Come with me.
*Nova follows the Princess*
Nova: Where are we going?
Celestia: To the Everfree Forest.. there is something I must show you.
Nova: The Everfree Forest? Is that where the creature attacking Crescendo came from?
Celestia: No.. it is something else I am bringing you to see.

*Nova follows Celestia into the Everfree Forest - Celestia brought Nova to her old castle, and down towards the Tree of Harmony*
Nova: Is this - Is this the Tree of Harmony?
Celestia: It is.
Nova: And those, those are the Elements of Harmony.. the elements my mother and her friends gave up to save it?
Celestia: The very ones.
Nova: Why did you bring me here? If you need the Elements of Harmony to fight this thing off, shouldn't you have brought my mother and her friends back here instead?
Celestia: *shakes her head* This is not for the Elements of Harmony to fix.. I have brought you here, because it is you now, Nova, who Crescendo needs to save him.
Nova: *eyes widen* Me? What do you -
Celestia: Look at the roots of the Tree of Harmony.. on the lower right side, what do you see?
Nova: There's.. another symbol of the Element of Magic, like in the center of the Tree... but, why is it all alone down there?
Celestia: When your mother became pregnant with you, the Cutie Mark Map in your mothers Castle began calling your mother to the Tree of Harmony.. When she got here, her cutie mark and the Tree began activitating, and soon, that symbol appeared near the bottom along with five gems, or perhaps, seeds from the Tree of Harmony. *Celestia lifts a box that was hidden behind a boulder with her magic and opens to show Nova* They are new elements, Nova, the Elements of Friendship.
Nova: The Elements of Friendship? But if the Elements of Harmony still exist, why would these need to?
Celestia: The Elements of Harmony were created to fulfill the destinies involving my reign, and my student.. Your mother was given the Element of Magic as her destiny to help bring peace and harmony back to the land of Equestria under my rule. Now, your mother is a Princess herself.. she is the Princess of Friendship, and you re her daughter. The Tree of Harmony has a new destiny now, and has chosen you to be the weilder of the new new Elements, or at least, one element.
Nova: But, there are only five in that box, don't the elements usually come in six?
Celestia: There are six.
Nova: Where is the last one?
Celestia: It is on your neck.
Nova *looks down at her necklace* My charm? This is my Element?!
Celestia: When Twilight discovered these new elements, the other five were not yet completely ready, she was only able to remove this one. *looks at Nova's necklace* I encouraged Twilight to hold on to the Element, and to give it to you, Nova, once you were born. The Tree of Harmony knew of your coming, and so this element was made for you.
Nova: But... Why me? Crescendo was born before me, shouldn't he have -
Celestia: The Elements are created by an ancient form of magic. This specific kind of magic can only be used by females, due to the magic being produced by mares of the past. It is also the reason you have never heard of male alicorns.. Stallions are not capable of controlling the Elements. That is how we knew you were going to be a girl, and why your mother named you Nova. A ''nova'' is a star that becomes more luminous as time goes by.. she knew you had a destiny to fulfill.
Nova: ... Who are the other elements?
Celestia: You already know who they are, Nova. *Smiles softly* Finding them will not be hard. *turns to leave*
Nova: Celestia, wait, one last thing!
Celestia: *turns to her* Yes?
Nova: ... Does this mean, I'm going to have to - we're going to have to.. Fight my brother?
Celestia: *frowns at Nova and puts her hoof on her shoulder* If that is what it comes down to, do not make the same mistake as I once did.
