Hey guys!
We had a crazy month at work and I wasn't able to log on as often as I would have liked. So between that and fall colors popping up in the Black Hills, I've been a busy bee! I've also come to the realization that I've done two 365 Projects before, but what did I learn from them? Don't post mediocre stuff. Only post what you're proud of. I had been doing some "quick edits" that I liked but didn't necessarily think were print-worthy just to "fill the days" so I'm cutting the project short this year (since I fell behind long ago anyway ). I'm becoming more disciplined about frequency of posting, when to post, when to update, etc. and I've got a lot of exciting stuff to share in the coming months
SO, instead of the usual landscape photo, here's a shot I took while Chris and I were exploring an aspen grove that ended up surprising me. The color of the leaves, the drying grass, the rotting stump, it all felt very atmospheric and oddly captured the experience better than the typical "aspen canopy" shots (though I got a few of those too!).
Hope you like it, and let me know what you think!
