Lahore: The Punjab government on Friday has announced traffic management plan for Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 final in Lahore.
City Traffic Police Lahore has devised the traffic advisory plan to facilitate public; alternative routes, tips to avoid trouble and locations specified parking places, for people coming to Qaddafi Stadium Lahore, have been announced.
Parking areas
For public coming from Mughalpura, Mall Road, Jail Road and Nehar Wali Pul FC college is the parking area.
For those who are coming from Mazang, Achchara and Wahdat Road parking lot is undrer Muslim Town flyover.
People coming from Kahna, Kot Lakhpat and Model Town to come via Kalma Chowk, Center Point and Firdous Market and have to reach Liberty Market Parking.
Those coming from Walton and Defence Road should travel via Kewalri Ground, Firdous Market, Hussain Chowk to reach Liberty Market Parking
Barkat Market Parking is planned for masses coming from Motorway Thokar Niaz Baig, Garden Town and WAPDA Town.
LDA Parking Plaza, behind Sun Fort Hotel, is allocated as parking place for those coming from Cantt and Gulberg
Alternative routes
Traffic flow will remain open from Canal Road to Shah Jamal Road and Zahoor Elahi Road
Walton Road could be used to head towards Mughalpura, Kahna and from Kot Lakhpat to Cantt
Traffic free to go Firdous Market, Hussain Cowk, MM Alam Road, Mini Market, Main Boulevard and Siddiq Trade Center
Traffic will remain open for public to travel via Fawwara No. 01, Siddiq Trade Center, Nehar Wali Pul and from Jail Road to Qurtuba Chowk
Tips to avoid troubles follow these:
Chingchi rikshaws, autos and other LNG/ LPG and CNG vehicles are not permitted in parking areas
All those coming towards Gaddafi Stadium must have their Computerised National Identity Cards and PSL final tickets alongwith them
Should seek guidance from traffic staff for parking and entrance into stadium
Avoid unnecessary travelling towards Qaddafi Stadium and use Metro Bus to avoid traffic jam
Free shuttle service is available from parking area to the stadium for the facilitation of citizens
