KARACHI: Five more people were suspended after the detainee death of the MQM worker Mohammad Waseem which occured in Karachi in Aziz Bhatti police station yesterday(Wednesday).

Inspector General Sindh police Ghulam Haider Jamali directed the suspension of Head Constable Khair Muhammad, Constables Sikandar Ali and Asadullah, Inspector Malik Adil In-charge Special Investigation Team East and Assistant Sub-Inspector M Aslam of the Aziz Bhatti police station.

Prior four policemen, two senior officials were suspended senior police officials Deputy Superintendent of Police Nasir Lodhi and Station House Officer Aziz Bhatti Maqsood Raza along with four police officers , Chaudhry Zafar, Mohammad Maqsood, Noman Javed and Zamir Hussain , against them an FIR has been registered.

A post-mortem probe of the body done at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre said that MQM worker Mohammad Wasim died from head wounds after been hit by a concrete object further victim discovered asphyxiation which resulted in cardio-respiratory failure.

There are diverse opinion that leads to the arrest of MQM worker.Police told that MQM member was detained in Dalmia on Tuesday, while the MQM and party related activist told that he along with his two brothers had been taken away form Baldia town from his shop.

Late Night on Tuesday said Mohammad Waseem health went down in the police station he was shifted to near hospital, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where victim was declared as already dead,said the Superintendent Police.

Dr Seemin Jamali, head of the emergency department, prior told the Aziz Bhatti police had brought Wasim dead to the JPMC on Wednesday at 2:30am. Since it was a custodial death case, a post-mortem examination of the body was conducted by medico-legal officer Dr Aijaz Ahmed in the presence of the judicial magistrate concerned, she added.

Business were shutter down and traffic was not observed as compare to usual days due to Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) announcement for two-day mourning over the custodial death of the party members in Karachi on Thursday.

Party worker prior on Wednesday directed all the business centre, shop and public transport etc to remain close.

Examination in the various university have deferred until further notice.

The party had called for two-day mourning over the two detained killed  in the Aziz Bhatti Police station, according to the MQM website.
