Kami M. Hoskins and Brian R. Booker of Gordon & Rees Law Firm

Kami M. Hoskins and Brain R. Booker are the latest additions to the rapidly expanding Phoenix office of Gordon & Rees, a national litigation and business transactional firm with more than 650 lawyers and 37 offices in 24 states.

Hoskins will lead the Phoenix office’s employment practice group. Ms. Hoskins’ wide range of expertise includes employment practices training, conducting workplace investigations, defending employers against charges filed with state and federal agencies, including the EEOC, Arizona Attorney General, and the National Labor and Relations Board, and litigating claims of current and former employees. In addition to her many administrative, state, and federal trial court appearances, she has argued successfully before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Hoskins regularly advises employers on strategically implementing policies and policy changes, including revising employee handbooks. She also drafts and consults on employment agreements, non-compete, and non-solicitation agreements, ∞and provides advice on finding efficient solutions when those agreements are threatened.

A partner in the firm’s employment, bankruptcy, re-structuring and creditors’ rights, and commercial litigation practice groups, Ms. Hoskins has represented a wide range of clients in Chapter 11 reorganizations and general litigation matters.

Hoskins earned her B.A. cum laude, and J.D. from the University of Arizona, and an M.A. in communication, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University. she has been named a Rising Star, Southwest Super Lawyers for five consecutive years.

Brian R. Booker joined Gordon & Rees as a partner in the firm’s Phoenix office. He is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation, tort and product liability and professional liability defense practice groups. Booker joins the firm after practicing for over 17 years in the Phoenix office of a national AmLaw 200 firm.

Booker’s commercial litigation practice includes extensive experience litigating matters involving general business disputes, insurance bad faith, real estate, professional liability, direct sales/multi-level marketing, financial services and manufacturing. He also has extensive experience in defending product manufacturers, and end users of those products, in the context of property damage, catastrophic injury and wrongful death actions.

Booker has represented many corporations and individuals in actions involving business torts including business and personal defamation claims, fraud/misrepresentation, misappropriation of trade secrets/proprietary information, tortious interference and unfair competition. He has also represented financial institutions and consumer financial services companies in wire fraud actions and in FCRA, FDCPA, and state law claims, as well as residential and commercial mortgage brokers in state courts and state regulatory actions.

Mr. Booker earned his B.A. from Stanford University and his J.D. from The University of Virginia School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Arizona and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
