This isn’t breaking news. Everyone has heard about the quality of life Ibiza has: you get out of work and have a couple beers with your collegues at the same time you watch the sunset, get to know people from anywhere around the world, going to your favourite DJ’s parties, going to paradise-like beaches, a trip to Formentera on your day off… There are many glory things about living in Ibiza. Besides, as you probably know, salaries are usually higher and if you work in the services sector tips are no joke. But we have to be realistic: the downsides of living in Ibiza are also to be considered.

CONS of working in Ibiza
Not all that glitters is gold and working in Ibiza also has some downsides. It’s highly difficult to find a place at a reasonable price and is one of the reasons why each year more and more workers think about if it’s worth it or not to work in summer in Ibiza. Plus, although we previously talked about how salaries are higher, outcomes are also higher, and if you don’t control your social life in Ibiza you’ll probably come back home with empty pockets.
On the other side, we must warn you from july to august, thousands of tourist arrive the island. That has its good things (if not, who would visit the island?). So it is probably that as a new resident you might feel a bit overwhelmed those few months: you can’t even wander around some beaches, it is impossible to find a parking spot in the center (not to mention the traffic jams)… and of cours you’ll have to work a lot more. Be patient, my friend.
