This year DMA is also at another great American college—the scenic Atlanta campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology…better known as Georgia Tech.
For three great weeks in July, the famed Georgia Tech campus (in the middle of downtown Atlanta) is home to the World’s Best Tech Camp. And kid and teen campers eager to discover what they can accomplish using cutting-edge tech will be creating digital films, robots, animation, code, music and video games.

3D Game Creation: Character Design & Modding with Unreal Engine (Age 13-17) Concept and build awesome game characters through high-res sculpting techniques.
3D Creature/Character Creation for Game Design with Maya (Age 13-17) Explore character modeling and create realistic textures for characters built for the Unreal Engine.
Advanced Java for Minecraft & Android (Age 13-17) Campers crawl under the hood of Minecraft and learn how to develop for the popular Android platform.
iPhone & iPad Game Development with Unity (Age 13-17) Design your own game for Apple’s iDevices, with the Unity game-development engine.
Google Android Game Development with Unity (Age 13-17) Android is sizzling hot, and this class teaches you game development and asset preparation.
Mac or PC Game Development with Unity (Age 13-17) Unity teaches campers how to build original games for either computer platform.
Academy for Game Design (Age13-17) Two great weeks packed with developing characters and designing environments, and making your own perfect game.

The Location for Innovation
Georgia Tech is always in the news for making exciting breakthroughs and finding new ways to explore the outer reaches of technology. During the past year, software maker Agilent announced a $90 million donation of software. Georgia Tech was also honored with a “Beyond Green” award from the National Institute of Building Sciences for its Carbon Neutral Energy Solutions lab.
And most recently, it was announced that network manufacturer Cisco would join forces with Georgia Tech and contribute to AT&T’s Atlanta innovation center, part of the company’s Foundry innovation program. The program—which encourages third-party development of new projects that promote AT&T networks—is expected to spark the creation of many technology companies in the Atlanta area.
If you’re into game design, this July all roads lead to Atlanta and DMA’s tech camps at Georgia Tech.
Great Vacation Destination
Atlanta is a perfect vacation destination for families who want an amazing getaway in the Southeast’s premier city. And during DMA’s Summer 2013 program at Georgia Tech, Atlanta will be alive with lots of things to do—everything from seeing Atlanta Braves baseball (with five home games during the period), to having fun at Six Flags Over Georgia theme park, to touring the world headquarters of Coca-Cola, to discovering nature at the Georgia Aquarium and Zoo Atlanta.
This July’s going to be a summer to remember in Atlanta—and at Digital Media Academy’s tech camp program at incredible Georgia Tech.
