In this role you will sell primarily to partners and distributors in the surveillance market of Central Canada, leveraging Avigilon’s image quality, ease of use, flexibility and ability to provide full-service solutions to our customers.  Not only do we build a wide variety of high-definition cameras, we also design and build user friendly and reliable software to run them.

Responsibilities:

Promote, sell and close Avigilon’s award-winning high definition surveillance products and services through direct customer contact within the assigned geographic territory.

Conduct sales calls, schedule “local” promotional work and regularly track sales activities with all channel, end user and MR opportunities using Avigilon’s Salesforce.com lead and project tracking software database.

Source, qualify, select and manage: integrators, VARs (value added resellers). These must be proposed and reviewed with the Senior Sales Director prior to signing.

Oversee and manage the sale of Avigilon’s products and services within territory.

Prepare proposals and quotes for prospective customers and provide them with published prices, and information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates.

Work on key deals to help define and oversee how our products are deployed.

Provide first level technical guidance to customers (end-users), integrators and partners.

Provide product and sales training to manufacturer representatives, integrators, and end-users to help them understand our products including how and when they should be used according to their specific application.

Supervise and manage installations at customer sites and in key accounts as needed in order to assure proper commissioning of the system and confirmation of customer expectations and requirements.

Attend tradeshows and professionally participate in booth duty at marketing events.

Provide end user feedback to engineering and operations departments to help implement product improvements and new product releases.

Compile data on competitive products and pricing and maintain working knowledge of competitive offerings.

Identify key surveillance market influencers, establish contact with them, and demonstrate to them the superiority and utility of our products.

Territory:

Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.  Frequent travel is required.

Requirements:

Degree or diploma in a related discipline.

5+ years of proven sales and territory management experience, ideally within the security or related IT industry

Experience selling both products and services preferably to channel partners

Knowledge of surveillance industry an asset

Must be self-motivated, competitive and goal-oriented

Strong relationship building skills and a track record of building long-term relationships

Experience negotiating and proven ability to work with multiple products

Must be able to travel within assigned territory
