The Aircraft Maintenance Team Lead reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or his/her designee and is responsible for meeting the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements, leading and directing the work of the aircraft technicians and for the inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of aircraft systems, structures, and engines. Will also perform the work of a technician as required.

The responsibilities of the Lead Technician include but are not limited to:

Monitor and track the status and performance of assigned teams, such as staffing, to include labor and billing efficiency. Apprises Maintenance Supervisor of shift statusCoordinate daily aircraft maintenance activities with Maintenance Supervisor
Ensure continuity of work Assist with completing all required paperwork and with the closure of Work OrdersEnsure that aircraft and operation records are maintained in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.Instruct assigned personnel in all applicable work-related health and safety regulations, and monitors to ensure complianceCoordinate offsite technician and parts supportMaintain knowledge of current inventory of materials, equipment, test equipment, etc. to ensure adequacy for current and future maintenance events by reviewing work orders of incoming aircraft to determine labor, parts, and equipment necessary to accomplish the assigned inspection, maintenance and repair. Assist with requesting necessary parts, service, or equipment as required
Maintain a violation free FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificateCollateral duties as defined by the Director of Maintenance and / or Maintenance SupervisorAble to work varied shifts
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years related experience on Gulfstreams, Hawkers, King Airs, and similar aircraft. Also experience on PT6, TFE-731, and Spey and Tay engines.

Active Airframe and Power Plant license is required.

Must have practical knowledge of basic airframe and engine repair.

Must supply all tools necessary to perform basic job functions.

Must be able to travel up to 25%.

The ability to obtain a Love Field airport security badge is required.
