TWIG This Week in Gaming brings us a whole lot of Call of Duty: Ghosts. But that isn’t all. We also get some more news about Valve’s Steam Machine and its crazy controller. News about Beyond: Two Souls, GTA Online, Xbox’s new Friend/Player App, and a whole lot more.
Call of Duty: Ghosts Updates
Early Clan Sign Up and Clans Trailer
Activision/Infinity Ward opened up Clan registration last week. So if you want to start a new clan or move your existing one over you will need to go to their sign up page and get a move on if you want to keep your Clan Name! You can go to the sign up page here, and make sure to read the HUGE FAQ as well.
In Black Ops 2 Clans were pretty much forgotten about. With Call of Duty: Ghosts they have upped their game when it comes to Clans. They are planning on having Clans be an integral part of the game. From the mini game which allows Clans to battle for points on a map to earn XP and other bonuses or the fact that Clans will be “**Cross-Platform” meaning whether your on the old consoles or the new you can still stay in your present Clan and still be a part of your team.
**Cross Platform as in Xbox 360 -> Xbox ONE OR PlayStation 3 -> PlayStation 4. This is similar to if you decide to upgrade later and transfer your profile/stats from the old generation console to the new ones.

And you know that Call of Duty: Ghosts is coming soon as they have started their media blitz with the commercial below. “Its Call of Duty Time” Although not as impressive as ads in the past – its still pretty funny.
Steam Controller Demo from Valve
Yes, It Actually Works
Valve shows how that goofy new “Owl” looking controller works in a demo. They played a few games: Portal 2, Civilization V, and CS: Source (the tutorial only) to show how it works. I’m pretty impressed on first impression. The million dollar question is though.. NO NOT HALF LIFE 3 DAMNIT. How does it work compared to those using a traditional keyboard/mouse in FPS games. If this thing is even close to that? Were going to see a LOT of people adopting it to be able to play on their big screens. You can find out more about the Steam Controller here. Forbes - Valve Confirms Official AMD-Powered Steam Machines For 2014 - This was the best article I could find about this. I couldn’t find anything official from AMD about this. But Valve has always stated that you could pick any “off-the-shelf parts” and build your own Steam Machine at any time with SteamOS.

Gamespot: Rockstar Games to give $500,000 due to Technical Hiccups on GTA V Online Launch: Yup, if you played online at all you understand the issues and frustrations players have been reporting. This is a nice gesture. Now if they could just get the rampant player griefing under control lol. This was no joke the message I received last night from my brother. “krazyazkid has been killed 100 times while playing GTA Online” – And he just started playing this past weekend? :-)
Xbox Wire: New Friends App and Multiplayer Features for Xbox Live on Xbox One: Want a sneak peak at the new friends app for the Xbox One? Get ready for it to be chock full of information that you most likely won’t give a shit about. At least your friends list has been extended to a 1000 people, and countless others can still follow you if they can’t be your friend.
Gamespot: UK Expert States Xbox One to Outsell PlayStation 4 - Always love these types of debates. We know the Xbox will outsell the PlayStation in certain markets. The question will be total units available during the November launch of both consoles vs. how many are actually sold. If you read this report here than the PS4 has already outsold the Xbox One. In the end both are great consoles with virtually the same hardware from AMD. Either way – WE win :-)
