At this year’s Automechanika in Frankfurt am Main, Bosch will showcase its products and services in Hall 9 for the first time, using its new stand design.
The significantly increased area provides the space needed so that all Bosch Automotive Aftermarket brands can appear alongside each other.
The leading full service provider for repair shops and trade will demonstrate its broad range of spare parts, diagnostic and repair shop technology, services and workshop franchises at the event, which takes place from 11th to 16th September 2012.
The complete system expertise available from Bosch will be shown at the redesigned exhibition stand – from diagnostics, maintenance and repairs using the appropriate spare parts, to virtual support services. Live demos will take place in four ‘repair shops’, each using an appropriate vehicle, to demonstrate this networked expertise – subdivided into topics based on the type of drive or subject area. Two of the repair shops will look at topics relating to traditional diesel and gasoline drive technologies, from diagnostics through to the repair. The focus of the third repair shop will be on new and alternative drives such as hybrid technology and e-mobility, while the fourth will be centred on the Bosch range for commercial vehicles.
Visitors to Automechanika will also be given a first look at current developments in the world’s leading repair shop software, ESI[tronic]. An online expansion of the current ESI[tronic] 2.0 software is planned for the future – ‘Bosch ESI[tronic] live’. The operating concept of this new online solution is geared to the user’s work processes in the repair shops. The user is quickly and easily guided through the repair process – from the error memory readout and an option to enter symptoms, through diagnostics and the identification of faulty components to an integrated ordering process for the required parts. ESI[tronic] live provides the user with all of the relevant information and functions needed to assist with each step. With ESI[tronic] live, Bosch will offer repair shops around the world a cost-effective diagnostics and repair software module that will also increase efficiency, alongside the existing ESI[tronic] 2.0 repair shop software.
Bosch work shop concepts such as Bosch Car Service and Auto Crew will also be presented in detail at Automechanika. In the outdoor area in front of Hall 9, Bosch will present opportunities for shaping a successful future with Bosch as a partner. A full-scale Bosch Car Service and Auto Crew work shop will demonstrate the minimum requirements that Bosch sets for future partners.
For the first time, the Bosch aftermarket and repair shop brands will be represented side by side, this year in Hall 9. As a specialist in the vehicle manufacturer repair shop network, Beissbarth has an extensive range of products relating to chassis alignment and brake testing and will also be presenting new products, including a brake test bench/control unit diagnostics hybrid. Sicam, a specialist in the tire service business, will present its full range and showcase new wheel balancing machines and tire fitting devices. HC Cargo will be displaying its comprehensive portfolio of automotive electronics spare parts.
From 4th September 2012, visitors can take a virtual tour and find out about the exhibition stand on a special Automechanika website at www.bosch-automechanika.com.
The website also offers a wealth of information on the exhibition including a stand map with route options and times for live presentations and demonstrations. Images and videos, as well as a media library for downloading brochures, can also be found on the website. A mobile website for smartphones is also available and includes individual options such as personal route planning through Automechanika and a reminder function for trade show times.
