MICHELIN XDE 3 HD series product is a drive position tyre for better mileage, fuel efficiency, longer treadlife and durability
New Delhi, April 23, 2014: Michelin, the world’s leading automotive tyre manufacturer, today announced the launch of its latest offer in the HD Series for commercial vehicles, the MICHELIN XDE 3 HD Tyre in India. XDE 3 HD is a new radial design and is available from April, 2014 for fleets across India.
Designed to meet tough driving conditions of Indian roads, the MICHELIN XDE3 HD has been engineered using Michelin Total Performance, the company’s technology strategy to develop tyres capable of simultaneously delivering superior levels of performance in the key areas of safety, fuel efficiency, grip, longevity and durability. Michelin Total Performance focuses on improving tyre performance across all factors, instead of focussing on only one or a few parameters.
MICHELIN XDE3 HD has a block pattern design with higher tread depth for increased mileage. For enhanced retreadability and improved crown impact resistance, XDE3 HD has a new casing design with additional crown ply and bigger bead. A new and under tread compound profile reduces rolling resistance for improved fuel consumption.
Thomas Clark, Managing Director, Michelin India said, “Michelin is committed to bringing world class products to Indian customers. Following the success of the recently launched XZY3 HD, this new MICHELIN XDE 3HD is targeted for national highway applications in India. We are confident that XDE 3HD with industry’s best combination of fuel savings, mileage and longevity will benefit both fleets and independent operators.”
SALIENT FEATURES:
· A new bead design allows a XDE 3 HD tyre to be retreaded multiple times. XDE 3 HD is equipped with the revolutionary Michelin casing and has been further strengthened with a new reinforced bead design with 50% more metal.
· A new Casing design with higher tread depth would enable XDE 3HD to deliver better mileage. It is equipped with a new round casing design and extra rubber for higher tread depth
· A new under tread compound profile is designed for providing better rolling resistance to ensure efficient fuel consumption on Indian roads.
In India, Michelin has a dealer network spanning from Jammu & Kashmir in the North to Tamil Nadu in the South, and Gujarat in West to Assam in the East. For more information, please visit www.michelin.in
