Genesis recently announced pricing for the G90 luxury sedan. Considered the brand’s flagship, a Premium rear-wheel drive model starts at $68,100. Price increases with options, engine choices, and all-wheel drive, topping out around $72,000.
Genesis is targeting the premium luxury car segment and will find plenty of competition. To gain an edge, the G90 features dynamic styling, high end performance, and the latest technology like Amazon Alexa. The latter allows an owner to send voice commands to the vehicle through Genesis Connected Services.
“The Genesis G90 not only presents a compelling product offering, but also a unique ownership experience to create value for our customers,” said Erwin Raphael, Genesis U.S. Market General Manager.
Engines & Safety
A 3.3-liter twin turbo V6 is standard while a 5.0-liter V8 GDI is available. A host of active and passive safety technologies will be offered like Automatic Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection, Driver Attention Alert, Smart Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Keep Assist, and Lane Departure Warning. Pre-safety seat belts and nine airbags are also included.
Other amenities in the G90 are specific to driver engagement and passenger comfort.
Customer Care
Genesis Experience offers enhanced maintenance plans and additional ownership services. A valet feature schedules maintenance appointments using the Genesis mobile app. The G90 carries 3 years/36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance, 3 years/36,000 miles complimentary service valet, and 3 years complimentary Genesis Connected Services like Connected Care, Remote, and Guidance.
“The G90 embodies all the hallmarks of a modern luxury vehicle with timeless design, performance engineering, and innovative technology, while offering owners an unprecedented level of choice, convenience, and customer care,” Raphael said.
Availability
The G90 hits Genesis retailers at the end of this month. The Genesis brand launched last year after Hyundai transformed it from a vehicle into an entire brand.
