Stockton, Calif.-based property and casualty insurance provider Golden Bear Insurance Co. said it has hired Roxanne Westfall to lead its new Professional Liability division.

Dallas-based Hermes Law said it has hired Rebecca Side as its Lloyd’s and London market representative. She joins from Crawford & Co., and is based in London.

New York City-based insurance brokerage and risk management company Integro Insurance Brokers Holdings Ltd. said it has named Regina Johnson senior vice president. She joins from the Palo Alto Foundation, where she was a risk program manager. Johnson is based in San Francisco.

Integro also said it has named Shepherd Tapasak managing principal. He joins from Lexington Insurance Co., where he was a zonal executive. Tapasak is based in Atlanta.

Studio City, Calif.-based DCI Solutions said it has appointed William “Bill” Geen valuation strategist. He joins from CCC Information Services, where he was senior vice president of valuation services.

Kansas City, Mo.-based insurance brokerage Lockton Cos. said it has named Gary Petrosino chief operating officer of its Pacific operations in the U.S. He joins from Chubb Group of Insurance Cos., where he was executive vice president and Western U.S. field operations officer.

Petrosino succeeds Lenny Fodemski, a 24-year Lockton veteran, who has been promoted to an executive vice president in Lockton’s holding company, where he will serve as a adviser to Lockton operations across the U.S.

Connecticut-based Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. said it has promoted Melinda Thompson to vice president and head of sales and distribution, reporting to Doug Elliot, Hartford’s president. She began her career with Hartford in 1998 as an underwriter in the middle market business, and most recently served as regional vice president of the company’s office in Charlotte, where she led the middle market field operations in North and South Carolina.

New York City-based insurance staffing company Work At Home Vintage Experts said it has named Rick Morgan senior vice president of marketing. The company said Morgan, who served on WAHVE’s advisory board from its inception until 2014, helped to guide WAHVE while serving as senior vice president of Aartrijk, a insurance marketing company.

Phoenix-based Workers’ Compensation insurance provider CopperPoint Mutual Insurance Co. said it has named industry veteran Marc E. Schmittlein president and CEO, effective June 1. He joins from Travelers Cos., where he president of its cyber business division.

Schmittlein will replace current president and CEO Donald A. Smith Jr., who previously announced he will retire from his 16-year tenure, effective July 1. Smith will continue to serve on CopperPoint’s board of directors as an independent director.

Charlotte, N.C.-based property, casualty and group benefits products provider AmWINS Group Inc. said it has promoted Craig Dunn to president of AmWINS Brokerage of Texas in Dallas from managing director of AmWINS’ national professional lines practice. Dunn succeeds Todd Teitell, who is retiring after having served as office president since 1997.

Denver-based independent insurance brokers IMA Inc. said it has promoted Sandy Harvath to president of IMA Colorado; Brian Sandy to president of IMA subsidiary Signature Select; and Erin Syring to executive vice president of operations.

Harvath joined IMA in 2003, and most recently was senior vice president of commercial lines for IMA’s Colorado market. Sandy joined IMA in 2003, and previously led IMA’s special risk division. Syring joined IMA in 2012, and managed IMA commercial lines in Wichita and Kansas City.

Nashville-based independent insurance agency Crichton Group said it has promoted Cooper Jones, who joined the company in 2002, to president. He succeeds Bob Jackson, who will now act as a co-chairman of the company.
