McLaren’s Sports Series models such as the 570S (shown) are boosting sales.
McLaren Automotive has added four dealerships in the U.S.
The newest retail locations for the sports-car maker are McLaren Bergen County in Ramsey, N.J.; McLaren Boston, McLaren Houston and McLaren Palm Beach.
“Each dealer joins us with a wealth of experience in their local markets, and we look forward to having them support the brand during this period of considerable sales growth,” said Tony Joseph, president of McLaren Automotive North America, in a statement.
McLaren Bergen County is the newest member of the Prestige Family of Fine Cars. Prestige Management Services, of Ramsey, N.J., ranks No. 62 on Automotive News’ list of the top 150 dealership groups based in the U.S., with retail sales of 14,151 new vehicles in 2014.
Luxury stablemates
McLaren Houston is a part of Park Place Dealerships group, of Dallas, which also sells Bentley, Bugatti, Jaguar, Lexus, Lotus, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Smart and Volvo vehicles.
McLaren Palm Beach is a part of Myers Auto Group, which also sells Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin vehicles in West Palm Beach, Fla.
McLaren Boston, an independent dealer, is owned by Dan DeSantis, a McLaren spokesman said.
Each location offers sales and aftersales services for all McLaren models.
The British automaker now has 22 locations in North America and 80 in 30 markets. The latest additions give McLaren two locations in Texas, three in Florida and six along the East Coast.
Growing demand
McLaren said this month that it would add 250 jobs and a second shift in the U.K. as demand for its high-end cars has grown. The company expects to sell 3,000 cars in 2016, up from 1,653 in 2015.
McLaren credited retail growth to the arrival of the 2016 570S coupe. Customer deliveries of that model started in December.
