Lockton announced expanded leadership roles for Mike Hammond, Glenn Spencer, and Neil Nimmo. The three executives will work closely together on Lockton’s continuing global expansion.

Glenn Spencer has been named chief operating officer of Lockton, Inc. and president of Lockton Companies in the U.S., and is based in Lockton’s Kansas City office. Previously, Spencer served as U.S. chief operating officer for Lockton. A 10-year Lockton associate, he held the position of chief operating officer of Lockton’s U.S. business since 2010, guiding the growth of the business from 2,300 associates to more than 3,500, as revenue increased from $564 million to $925 million. He previously held executive roles at insurance brokers Palmer & Cay, Marsh, and Johnson & Higgins, in addition to risk manager at AOL.

Neil Nimmo will transition to CEO of both Lockton Companies LLP, in the U.K., and Lockton International Holdings Ltd, succeeding Mike Hammond on May 1, 2016. Currently deputy CEO for Lockton’s international operations, Nimmo joined Lockton in 2007 and has been a leader in the growth and development of Lockton’s U.K. and international operations during the past decade. He has been a key leader in Lockton’s largest U.K. business, Risk Solutions, for the past eight years and has served as a founding partner on the Board of Lockton Companies LLP. He has more than 30 years of experience advising clients and structuring complex insurance programs, particularly in the Professions and Management Liability fields. Prior to joining Lockton, he was a managing director at Marsh and worked at Johnson & Higgins in London. Nimmo will continue to be based in Lockton’s London operation.

Mike Hammond has been appointed executive chairman of Lockton International Holdings Ltd, the operating business for all of Lockton’s businesses outside the U.S. He will also work with the Lockton Inc. board to develop and lead the company’s strategic planning process globally. Hammond developed his career at Sedgwick where he held client and executive board positions for 23 years in both the U.K. and U.S., and was previously CEO of Marsh U.K. between 2000–2003 and a director of the Marsh Inc. board. Hammond has led Lockton’s operations outside the U.S. since the privately-held broker bought the international business of Alexander Forbes in November 2006. Under his leadership, the company has developed Lockton operations around the world with major growth in Asia, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, MENA, and the U.K. During this time, Lockton’s international operations have grown from $150 million in 2006 with 1,500 associates to revenues of $317 million with 2,100 Associates in 2015.

Zurich announced that Paul Horgan, previously head of Group Reinsurance, has been appointed CEO of Zurich’s Global Corporate in North America (GCiNA) business. As CEO, Horgan is now accountable for the direction, management and performance of GCiNA, a major business area within North America, which recorded gross written premiums and policy fees of $3.7 billion in 2014. Based in New York City, he will play a significant role in the success of both Global Corporate and the wider General Insurance business goals. Horgan joined Zurich as chief underwriting officer for GCiNA in 2007. He was appointed to head of Group Reinsurance in 2012. Prior to joining Zurich, he held a number of senior roles at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Previously, he held roles in reinsurance, underwriting, finance, marketing and account management.

Baldwin Krystyn Sherman Partners (BKS-Partners) announced the appointment of Lori Golden as an advisor of benefits. Golden will focus on management of BKS-Partners’ exclusive relationship with Compass HRM, an advanced technology platform that offers fully unified, cloud-based workforce management. The platform’s single database architecture and self-service functionality provides clients with a customizable and easy-to-deploy solution. Golden brings more than 20 years of experience in Human Capital Management and Insurance. She is also director of sponsorships with HR Tampa, has earned her PHR and SHRM-CP certifications and holds both a FL 215 and FL 220 license.

InVEST announced that Bryan Bernier has been appointed to its national board. Bernier is senior account executive at Eaton & Berube Insurance Agency, Inc. in Nashua, N.H. Bernier brings more than 18 years of industry experience to the board. He previously served as New Hampshire Association of Insurance Agents (NHAIA) chairman of the board, NHAIA Young Agents chair and the New Hampshire InVEST Taskforce. Bernier serves on the New Hampshire Board for the Jumpstart Coalition and is member of his local Rotary Club.

Willis North America, a unit of Willis Group Holdings plc., announced the appointment of Ken Perry as vice president of the Human Capital Practice, Willis of Tennessee. Based in Knoxville, Perry will be responsible for business development within Willis’s Human Capital Practice. He will work closely with the firm’s National Human Capital Practice to deliver cutting-edge employee benefits solutions and services to local clients. Perry brings to Willis more than 17 years of experience in the insurance and employee benefits space, and previously served as vice president, Health & Benefits, Aon Hewitt. He has also held key roles at USI Insurance Services and United Healthcare.

CNA announced the appointment of Wes Sprinkle as senior vice president, Small Business, effective Oct. 19, 2015. In his new role, Sprinkle will be responsible for driving the growth of CNA’s Small Business customer segment through the development of cutting-edge products, innovative automation solutions and superior customer service. Sprinkle brings a 20-year track record of driving business results in the insurance and consulting environments. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer for Allstate’s $500 million Business Insurance division, where he was responsible for leading product development, underwriting, P&L management, pricing, data and analytics, agency servicing, customer service, operations and IT. Prior to his role at Allstate, Sprinkle served as vice president, Commercial Lines Products for The Hartford and Principal for Diamond Management and Technology Consultants.

Cunningham Lindsey announced the addition of several new team members to the organization:

Cullen Sophy was added as senior vice president and head of Specialty Services. Sophy will lead Specialty Services division which comprises of Cunningham Lindsey’s Forensic Advisory Services (FAS) and Major and Complex Loss (MCL) Unit. Sophy will look to expand and strengthen the company’s U.S. Major and Complex Loss Group and work with the international MCL Team to service clients globally on multi-national exposures and complex losses. Sophy brings to Cunningham more than 23 years of experience in several areas across the insurance industry, including global risk management, claims and litigation management, and adjusting in self-insured entities and captive programs.

Two new members were added to Cunningham’s Major and Complex Loss (MCL) Group:

Neil Schwartz joins as executive general adjuster and will be based in Pasadena, Calif. Schwartz has more than 28 years of adjusting experience and has worked losses ranging from catastrophes such as Hurricane Sandy and Wilma to significant property damage resulting from fire and earthquakes.

Martin Vose joins as executive general adjuster and is based in Cunningham Lindsey’s newest office in Oregon. Vose brings 15 years of adjusting experience in areas such as property, marine and transit, construction defect, and product liability.

Cunningham Lindsey has also expanded its Forensic Advisory Services (FAS) division with the addition of John Harter, CPA. Harter has more than 16 years of accounting experience, and will provide forensic accounting and business interruption analysis in relation to insurance claims. Based in Georgia, Harter holds a Masters of Accounting from Kennesaw State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Bill Henry, chief executive officer and chairman of Dallas, Texas-based MHBT, a Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC company, was elected as the 2016 chairman of The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. He succeeds Steve Brockmeyer, president and CEO of Bolton & Company in Pasadena, Calif. Henry was elected during The Council’s 102nd annual Insurance Leadership Forum (ILF). The Insurance Leadership Forum has been instrumental to the commercial property/casualty insurance industry since its beginnings in 1913, and continues to be the pivotal place for market leaders worldwide to convene. As chairman of The Council, Henry leads a team of officers including vice chairman Robert Cohen, chairman & CEO, IMA Financial Group, Denver, Colo.; Treasurer David Eslick, chairman and chief executive officer, Marsh & McLennan Agency, N.Y.; and Secretary Martin P. Hughes, Hub International, Chicago, Ill.

CTEH announced the appointment of Allen “Higg” Higginbotham, REM, as director of the Toxicology Emergency Response Program (TERP). Higginbotham is a Registered Environmental Manager (REM) and has 24 years of experience in the HAZMAT Emergency Response industry and personnel management. He specializes in industrial and hazardous material firefighting, emergency response, remediation, industrial services, training and response center management. He joined CTEH in September 2013 as a member of the Major Projects Team.
