As the cold begins to subside and the days are filled with sun and springtime air, one of our favorite things to do in Austin in the spring is admire the beautiful bluebonnets that line our hills. Whether there are acres of our state flower or small patches on the side of roads and highways, stopping to smell these Texas-native flowers is sure to brighten anyones day.

This time of year they bloom as if their sole purpose is for us to enjoy… and to take pictures in. You think wed get tired of it by now, but how could you?

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
