Race 5:
BLACK HEART BART is probably the best miler in the country apart from Winx. He easily won the same race two weeks back and will only improve again. Clearly the one to beat. TURN ME LOOSE has more upside on his 2nd-up run. He’ll run them along and be the one to run down. ECUADOR goes in any exotics from the good gate and the Weir pair PALENTINO and TOSEN STARDOM both charge home late.
Race 6:
JAMEKA is the key to the race. It’s not her target race but she’s got early speed, if they were to send her forward in this she’d be the one to beat. TOM MELBOURNE returned in good style. The magic man takes the ride, if he gets him to settle he’ll fight out the finish. STRATUM STAR has each-way claims from the good gate. HUMIDOR, THE UNITED STATES and EXOSPHERIC all charge home late.
Race 7:
Great race with luck in running the key for a few. CATCHY has been closing hard all prep and she’s crying out for this trip. If she can slot in midfield or just worse she’ll be tough to hold out. JUKEBOX and PROPERTY are both flying and they land straight into perfect runs from good gates. They’ll both be right in the finish. FORMALITY is a filly going places. If she has any luck going forward she’ll take catching. Many more chances with the Snowden pair PARIAH and TAKING AIM both charging home late.
Race 8:
EXTREME CHOICE was electric first-up last prep and his work into this has been perfect. Well in at the weights and a good run midfield will have him tough to beat. FELL SWOOP has measured right up in this grade and he always fires fresh. He won’t be far away in the run so fights out the finish. FLAMBERGE is flying. The big weight is a query but a perfect run gives him a chance. HELLBENT has been aimed at this all prep. Ready to peak he’ll be steaming home along with OCEAN EMBERS and I AM A STAR.
Race 9:
SILENT SEDITION wins in one more stride first-up and the step up in trip is ideal. If she holds her spot midfield or better she’s the one to beat. THAMES COURT gets a much softer run here. Fitter and suited up in trip she’ll run well. WRITTEN ERA is best roughie in the race. She was luckless last start and DOMINO VITALE has some claims as she’s been flying all prep. Watch for ABBEY MARIE charging home for longer.

Race 5:
CHETWOOD arguably didn’t handle the Valley in the Australia Stakes. Won all four runs last preparation and set to improve sharply back to Sydney. BIG MONEY close up all four runs this preparation and just missed at Randwick last start. Should be right at his peak and gets the chance to go one better. NEW TIPPERARY hit his straps over slightly longer last preparation winning three straight but no surprise to see a forward showing over the shorter journey fresh. MCCREERY resumes and has had the benefit of two trials. Has a solid first-up record and the Hugh Bowman booking looks a lead.
Race 6:
GLOBAL GLAMOUR did the job at both ends for an impressive win in the Light Fingers last start. Has won up to 1600m so the 1400m not an issue and the one to beat again from an ideal gate. FOXPLAY charged late to just miss reeling in GLOBAL GLAMOUR resuming in the Light Fingers. Will strip fitter second-up and the step up to 1400m gives her the chance to turn the tables. OMEI SWORD resumes and has had the benefit of two trials. Won the Silver Shadow resuming last time in before finishing second in the Golden Rose. Has to be respected first-up. SPRIGHT unbeaten in three runs last preparation and worked home nicely finishing third in the Light Fingers resuming. First go at 1400m but has always raced like the trip would suit.
Race 7:
WINX did the job with consummate ease in the Apollo. Hard to see a way she can be beaten here. Watch and enjoy. HARTNELL chased home WINX resuming beating the rest by four-lengths. Won the Chelmsford second-up last preparation but no WINX that day. The quinella horse again. ENDLESS DRAMA no match for the first two in the Apollo when third but did battle on okay. Fitter second-up and looks the one for the minor end of the prizemoney again. LIBRAN next best.
Race 8:
FIRST SEAL resumes on the back of a Warwick Farm trial win. Won the Millie Fox resuming last campaign and looks ready to go fresh here. DANISH TWIST finished her race off strongly finishing on the placegetters heels in the Breeders Classic resuming. Generally improves second-up and if that’s the case here will take plenty of beating. PRESS REPORT close up when fourth in the Triscay resuming. Generally improves considerably second-up and right in the mix if she improves here. HAPPY HANNAH best form over further but no surprise to see a forward showing fresh.
Race 9:
DENPURR finished on the placegetters heels in a Magic Millions race two runs back before being well beaten at Caulfield last start. Has a good record this track and distance and set to improve sharply from an ideal gate. QUATRONIC putting together a good record with five wins from eight starts and an Eagle Farm winner resuming last start. Highway Handicap winner at Rosehill last preparation and shouldn’t be under-estimated here. MEURSAULT had excuses at Randwick last start. Rates a place chance on Takeover Target run two runs back. YOUR WAY has won six from eight and just keeps taking the step up. Who is to say she won’t do the job again.
