Audi picked a prime, but risky moment to reveal its new commercial during the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. However, showing something off in the middle of such a high-profile televised event paid off. Millions saw Audi’s new ad, featuring the Audi RS 7, and it went off without a hitch.

About 80 million Americans turned in to watch the debate. The commercial featured a tiff between two hotel valets – a man and a woman. Both of them wanted to drive the new Audi RS 7.

Adweek praised the ad the next day with a headline that read: “Audi Made One Hell of an Ad for Tonight’s Debate that Everyone Will Love.” And Bridesmaids and the new Ghostbusters director, Paul Feig, tweeted the commercial was “the best thing I saw all night.”
