In this role the selected individual will work within a team with accountability of all Citrix and Terminal Services ensuring a reliable and secure environment exists.
You will be accountable for:
Maintain a compliant, secure, reliable and efficiently managed and highly available server based computing environment.
Ensure 99.00% reliability of Citrix/Xenapp Server components in Production environment.
Plan, implement and maintain disaster recovery solutions for Citrix Shared Infrastructure and assist in providing disaster recovery solutions for all businesses that utilize Citrix technology.
Ensure ETS Project methodology for all new ETS-lead projects are followed.
Know about system problems before the customer via proactively monitoring and responding to system performance issues.
Ensure service level targets are met for our customers.
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to the support desk or other team members.
Provide business value through quality of service, continuous process improvement, cost reductions and responsiveness to changing business needs.
Ensure documentation is generated and updated on a regular basis.
Maintain the operational integrity and performance of the product line including uptime, correct performance issues, establish and maintain monitoring of services to insure service levels are achieved.
Assist in making recommendations to the project teams for the appropriate sizing and scalability of server hardware applications.
Work Skills Required to be Successful:
5+ years MS Windows 2003/2008 system administration.
4+ years Citrix XenApp experience.
Scripting experience in Perl, Windows scripting host or VB scripting. Experience in administrating Windows domain structures and active directory.
Experience in TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP management.
Experience in IIS & web server management for internal and external servers and sites.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Familiarity with Systems Center Operations Manager.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to share technical knowledge with team members.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and organize daily tasks to ensure service level agreements are met
Ability to work in a team environment.
