The ltisource National Abstracting business unit is an organization designed to perform or coordinate extensive title search functions for a variety of internal and external clients.  The Senior Manager position is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, process oriented individual to contribute significantly to organizational profitability.  Altisource is a high-volume, fast-paced environment where individual initiative and performance are rewarded.

This position will provide leadership in training, quality control, business process development, and system utilization for conducting or delivering abstracts of title.  This managerial role will implement people, process, and technology plans to deliver excellence in the title search function.  The candidate selected for this position will work with off-shore teams in a multi-cultural environment to produce exceptional results.

Primary Responsibilities:

Document all process, workflow and system gaps and implement fixes

Work with compliance/risk to address “open issues” and formalize follow-up and sign off process

Implement and manage in house title search operation initiatives.

Implement and maintain strategies which will help the company manage a high volume of production without errors

Manage productivity requirements and devise and implement strategies to improve production.

Focus on the needs and expectations of internal and external customers.  Manage customer expectations and improve performance by working through process and product deficiencies.

Use customer feedback and quality performance results to champion changes in personnel, processes, or technology to deliver excellence in the title search function.

Manage and coordinate the title abstract vendor certification program.  Assist in the identification of abstractors.  Review test case title searches and offer recommendations as to a vendor’s ability to provide excellence in their work product.

Manage quality performance and turn-around-times for each abstract vendor.  Continually provide feedback to vendor’s to develop strong strategic relationships.

Assist in the clarification or resolution of issues as they arise between vendors and operating personnel.  Act as the subject matter expert and communication bridge between staff members and abstractors as needed.  Monitor daily production reports and proactively manage files as they approach SLA commitments.

Using the results of the quality control process, initiate and execute training plans for continual improvement all title search activities

Assist in the development and implementation of internal title search activities.  Utilizing publically available data or direct title plant access, create comprehensive training material to in-source title abstracting and search competencies.

Focus on the needs and expectations of internal and external customers.  Manage customer expectations and improve performance by working through process and product deficiencies.

Use customer feedback and quality performance results to champion changes in personnel, processes, or technology to deliver excellence in the title search function.

Requirements:

This position requires a minimum of 15 years experience in the real estate finance industry with a demonstrated pattern of advancement and a breadth of experience.  A minimum of three years experience in a title abstracting and vendor management function is required.

The candidate should also possess the following characteristics:

Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume title operation

Experience developing and managing a quality audit system designed to track and measure vendor performance

Detailed knowledge of land records databases, both public and plant access, and the tools used to access those records.  Experience in using multiple plant access tools.

Detailed knowledge of searching court records and identifying items affecting marketability of title

Detailed knowledge of public tax information and the accurate interpretation of publically available data. Thorough understanding of various issues arising from public tax record use.

Experience reviewing chain of title particularly as it relates to the foreclosure process.  Ability to identify items that might affect the validity of a foreclosure proceeding and the effects of deficiencies upon marketable title

Experience creating detailed training documentation and providing ongoing, regularly scheduled training.  Commitment to continuous improvement of skill and knowledge of team members

Ability to identify and design improvements to processes or technology and translate the usage of technology to drive superior performance

Ability to champion organizational changes and implement improvements

Experience proactively cross-training personnel and allocating workloads across multiple teams

Experience performing employee evaluations and executing hiring and termination decisions.

Excellent organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills are required

Ability to work with cross-functional, multi-cultural teams
