I always like putting together my Casual Friday posts, because I have an excuse to read through my favorite blogs, find some new ones, and get inspired! I hope you’re still enjoying them too. I didn’t even get through a third of my blogroll this week, and there are still sooo many blogs that I’ve yet to discover. So I know there are many, many more awesome links out there. I’d love for you to share your favorites! If you’re a blogger, feel free to share a post from your own blog. Leave me a comment, and I’ll be sure to check it out. But first, here are my favorite links from around the web this week...

Igor of Happy Interior Blog shared some of his favorite trends on Decor8. My favorite part was this little “I will survive” planter. I totally want to make one of my own! My friend Renae did something really similar too...hers says “mist me!” See it here.

After I saw that post, I headed over to Igor’s blog. I can’t believe I’ve never really read it before! I've followed him on Twitter and Pinterest for awhile, but I’ll definitely be reading his blog now too. I loved this simple tablescape he put together, inspired by spring. The cross candle holders are really nice--I feel like they could be fun to DIY.

And speaking of DIY projects, I loved this simple gold palm frond garland on A Fabulous Fete. Perfect for backyard parties and just generally getting in the mood for warm weather and vacations!

I also adore this springy painted door, seen on One Kings Lane. I hate the color of our front door (it’s a brick red…so not my color), and I’d love to update it like this! Except we’re hoping to move out of here within the next few months, so there’s not much point to that. But in our next place...

I always love when Designlovefest shares the “dress your tech” desktop and iPhone backgrounds. And these ones, by Elise Pescheret, are good stuff indeed. I painted a little bit last weekend and had a blast. I’m thinking of trying to paint more often! It’s such a good way to be creative without having to think very hard about it. And it’s nice to do something that’s not screen-related for awhile!

And last but not least, I thought this was a genius idea--colored eggshell tea light holders! Perfect for Easter and oh so pretty.

That’s it! Hope you all have a super fun weekend, and I’ll see you back here on Monday. Don’t forget to share your favorite links from this week so I can check them out!
