A Grand Trine featuring Jupiter, Chiron and Saturn, active through most of May and June, brings healing in the wake of the Grand Cross’ upheavals. Other highlights include Mars turning direct, Mercury retrograde thru most of June, and a final echo of the Grand Cross as a Mars-Uranus-Pluto T-square intensifies much of June.

The Story So Far
As May opens, we have five retrograde planets: Mars thru 5/19, Vesta thru 5/27, Ceres thru 6/1, Saturn thru 7/20 and Pluto thru 9/22. And the pervasive energies of revolutionary transformation (a Uranus-Pluto square), as well as universal love, compassion and spiritual awakening (Neptune in Pisces), remain powerful for years to come!

2014′s most powerful astrological event, the Cardinal Grand Cross, peaked on 4/22. But its energies of revolutionary transformation, triggered by Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto, are still with us!
The waning energies of the Grand Cross itself persevere thru 5/10, while the Uranus-Pluto square at its heart continues to receive significant stimulation thru 7/3. So it’s not too late to release what doesn’t serve you, surrender to divine guidance, be your authentic self, follow your intuitive flashes and use your special talents to serve the greater good!
A much gentler aspect pattern now in effect peaks on 5/20 and wraps up on 6/24. This Grand Trine, composed of Jupiter, Saturn and Chiron, provides assistance for mentoring and healing. Spiritual healing and mentoring, family healing and mentoring in the hidden mysteries also get extra juice.
Because of the Grand Trine’s subtlety, you could easily miss out on these helpful energies. So “mine the trines” to take advantage of this two-month opportunity!

A Scorpio Full Moon shines forth on 5/14 at 3:16 PM. Examine how you’re doing in the areas of transformation, sacred sexuality, shared resources, psychological introspection and investigation.
Because the Moon aligns with the Grand Trine mentioned above, its energies of healing and mentoring are significantly enhanced now. With the Moon conjunct Saturn, redirect any feelings of moodiness or depression by getting busy with a project or taking some time for quiet reflection.

Mars, retrograde since 3/1, finally turns direct on 5/19. If you’ve been reflecting on assertiveness, entrepreneurship, initiation, sexuality or striving for a worthy cause, you can now begin to implement your plans.
The Sun enters Gemini on 5/20, radiating the energies of learning, communication, playfulness, mischievousness and variety.
The Gemini New Moon on 5/28 can underpin new beginnings in learning and communication. If your rational thought processes become a bit muddy at times, call on your intuitive wisdom to fill in the gaps.
This lunation’s Sabian Symbol is, “Aroused strikers surround a factory.” (No, not that kind of aroused! 
) This image reminds us that we don’t have to put up with unfair conditions in our lives. And remember that negotiating from a place of love and respect may be more productive than resorting to threats and violence.
Mercury will be retrograde 6/7 through 7/1. It’s best to launch big projects or make major purchases before or after these dates. Mercury retrograde is a great time for reflection, completing projects already underway and repairs.
The Sagittarius Full Moon on 6/13 invites reflection on religion, life’s meaning, higher learning and foreign cultures. If your life doesn’t feel like a quest full of expansiveness and exuberance, how can you move it in that direction?
This lunation’s aspects suggest healing and adjustment in relation to these themes. And its Sabian Symbol, “A group of immigrants fulfilling the requirements for entering a new country,” suggest getting ready for the next stage of your own personal journey.
Potentially volatile energies peak around 6/14, 6/19 and 6/25 as Mars opposes Uranus and squares Pluto, and a Mars-Uranus-Pluto T-square peaks. Keep calm and avoid unnecessarily dangerous situations. But these powerful forces can also energize productive action, win-win sexuality and appropriate assertiveness.

The Cancer New Moon on 6/27 supports new beginnings in the areas of family, security and nurturing. This lunation’s sole aspect, a tight Neptune Trine, suggests ease in staying open to divine consciousness and inspired creativity.
This New Moon’s Sabian Symbol, “In spring game birds are feathering their nests,” alludes to both death and prosperity. It reminds us to live this incarnation to the fullest because your physical form won’t last forever!

It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during these times. “Business as usual” is the best strategy for these periods, which occur when the Moon has made its last major Ptolemaic aspect but has not yet moved into the next sign.
