2014-05-01

Another Grand Cross, this one featuring the asteroid goddess Ceres, launches this week. Abundance and self-esteem are among the areas up for revolutionary transformation!

Other “skylights” this week include a potentially passionate Venus-Mars opposition, a possibly productive Sun-Saturn opposition, and a Mercury-Neptune square that could help you open to deeper inner guidance.

5/5 (Mon)

No major astrology events.

5/6 (Tue)

Easy and energetic expansion, especially in areas such as resource acquisition, self-esteem and sensuality, is available with the Taurean Sun sextile Jupiter.

You can enjoy inspired and practical mentoring and insight with Taurean Mercury quintile Chiron.

5/7 (Wed)

Chiron quintiled Taurean Mercury yesterday and sextiles the Taurean Sun today. The strong, easy flow of practical mentoring is similar, while this aspect carries more healing resonance.

Mercury transits Gemini today thru 5/29. The winged messenger in one of its home signs radiates the energy of learning and sharing information. It also radaiates a love of playfulness, variety and mischief.

5/8 (Thu)

T-square: Ceres-Uranus-Pluto

Two related aspect patterns kick off today. The longer-lasting one is a T-square (a geometrical right triangle), with the asteroid goddess Ceres temporarily stimulating the multi-year Uranus-Pluto square.

This Ceres-Uranus-Pluto T-square focuses the energy of revolutionary transformation into the themes of abundance, self-esteem, mother-daughter relationships, and release and return. It has two peaks — 6/1 (when Ceres stations direct) and 6/13 — and ends on 6/20.

Grand Cross: Ceres-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto

The second aspect pattern adds Jupiter to the Ceres-Uranus-Pluto T-square to form a Grand Cross. Three of these planets are members of the Grand Cross that peaked on 4/22. The key difference is that Ceres is the fourth planet instead of Mars.

The meaning of this Ceres-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto Grand Cross is fundamentally the same as the Ceres-Uranus-Pluto T-square. Jupiter’s presence amplifies this aspect pattern’s power and adds a sense of hope, joy and enthusiasm. Jupiter’s placement in Cancer reiterates the theme of revolutionary transformation within the family, piggybacking on Ceres’ resonanace with mother-daughter relationships.

The Ceres-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto Grand Cross peaks on 6/1 and ends on 6/4.

5/9 (Fri)

You can enjoy deeper soul connection in your partnerships as Neptune sextiles Juno. Sacred sex is another wonderful way to use this aspect, especially with Juno in sensual Taurus.

A magical connection with Spirit is stimulated by a Sun-Neptune quintile. The Sun’s placement in Taurus suggests embodying this divine consciousness in your everyday life. My free Core Invocation may help you do this quickly and easily.

5/10 (Sat)

Some may experience stubborn obstacles, setbacks and difficulties as Saturn opposes the Taurean Sun. Others will experience prolonged productivity, especially if they are executing workable plans, taking a mature, disciplined approach, and standing in their own power.

5/11 (Sun)

You may be experiencing a strong desire to connect with others as Venus and Mars make an opposition, the aspect of relationship. The urge to join with others is made even stronger because these planets are in mutual reception: Venus is in Aries, the sign that Mars rules, while Mars is in Libra, a sign that Venus rules.

While an opposition is technically a hard aspect, it doesn’t have to manifest as conflict. The more you connect consciously and with good intention, the more likely it is that this opposition will manifest as harmony, ease and grace.

Make sure you’re understanding and being understood, so that a Mercury-Neptune square doesn’t result in muddled communcation or fuzzy thinking. This aspect is a great opportunity to receive direct guidance from your intuitive wisdom.

T-square: Venus-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto

Some of the Cardinal Grand Cross’ waning energy is rekindled by Arean Venus. Her T-square with Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto focuses the energy of revolutionary transformation into relationships, money and creativity. Release what doesn’t serve you in these areas, be your authentic self and follow your intuitive flashes!

This T-square peaks on 5/15 and ends on 5/21.

Void-of-Course Moons

It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during void-of-course Moons. “Business as usual” is the optimal strategy. Void-of-course Moons occur when the Moon has made her last major Ptolemaic aspect, but has not yet moved into her next sign.
