With 2013 coming to a close and a New Year beginning, now is the perfect time to look back and reflect on Aston Martin and all that it has accomplished. Last year Aston Martin celebrated their 100th year and took a look at all of the new Aston Martins that have been revealed to the public over this period. Although Aston Martin has been around for 100 years, each of the new Aston Martins that joined the brand only enhanced the legacy. Join Aston Martin of Dallas as we take a closer look at Aston Martin's rich history.

Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford founded Aston Martin in 1914 and produced race cars that were raced up a nearby course called Aston Hill. In 1947 David Brown acquired several automotive manufacturing companies, including Aston Martin, and brought the brand into its golden era. During this time DB4, DB6 and DB5 came to life and were later made famous in the James Bond movie "Goldfinger." Aston Martin changed hands a few more times over the next several years.

Aston Martin cars took a more modern turn in 1994 with the DB7 and in 2001 with the V-12 Vantage. This new design was even more modified by the 2003 DB9 and 2006 V-8 Vantage that we are familiar with today. In 2007, Ford left the world of exotic cars and sold their stake in Aston Martin to several investment groups which now own the majority of the company.

At the time of its 100th birthday celebration, Aston Martin had three sought after sports cars and a four door sedan that keep customers and fans clamoring for more. What does the future hold for Aston Martin? We'll start seeing a new generation of sports cars in 2016 so fans have that to look forward to. Whatever the future holds for Aston Martin, we know our loyal fans will love it.
