skania:

Since I love connecting the side-material with the show, I think it’s fun how Haru’s dream seems to be a direct continuation of this universe.

Haru having the IwaMoge monster speech pattern and as such, being an Iwamoge Monster? Check.

Rin being the one rescuing people? Check.

Rin ‘being reborn as a cyborg’? “Remember Haru! Even though my body was changed too, I never forgot my passionate heart or the limits of my powers!”  [x]Seems to be Check, too.

I love this little nod to continuity haha. Plus, later in the track Haru gives more insight into his fanfiction world-building, and these are the roles he assigned to everyone:

Haruka: Oh… I was the monster Iwamoge, and I had captured Makoto and was trying to turn him into a half-animal monster. […] Rei was a mad scientist. […] You [Nagisa] were the Evil Leader. […] Rin and Yamazaki came to save you [Makoto]. They had just transformed when I woke up. [x]

So basically, Rin is consistently the Hero in Haru’s Iwamoge fanfic (dream)land (and he has just gained a sidekick in the form of Sousuke). Not only that, but he seems to have some history with criminal!IwaMoge Monster Haru (“Haru, did turning into an Iwamoge monster make you forget? Your past!” [x]). The plot thickens!

But - and this is the most interesting part for me, since I have to see the RinHaru side to everything - Haru didn’t make Rin a simple hero, but a dark hero. Which like seakittens pointed out HERE, ties in with none other than Haru’s beloved ‘Dark Hero Iwatobi-chan’.

Interviewer: Previously, we observed Haruka-kun intently watching the footage that the AV Club put together to attract new club members, but if you were going to direct a film, what sort of piece would you put together?
Rin: Was it really that amazing?
Haru: It was; Dark Hero Iwatobi-chan was in it. [x]

Haru has a bias and it shows lol

Speaking about Dark Hero Iwatobi-chan… (pointless speculation and confusion under the cut)
