The Federation of American Hospitals has appointed Steven Speil executive vice-president of health finance and policy, a new position for the organization.
“Steve is the go-to policy guy in the hospital community whom everyone trusts and relies on,” said FAH President and CEO Chip Kahn. “He’s a consummate professional, deeply respected by FAH members as well as hospital industry and health policy thought leaders.”
Speil started with FAH in 1997 and has managed the FAH’s portfolio of hospital payment policy issues. Previously, he served as associate vice-president of policy coordination and communication for the Health Industry Manufacturers Association (now known as AdvaMed).
