More than 70 Park City business people, government officials and nonprofit leaders are planning a visit to Aspen next month as part of their annual pilgrimage to other ski resort towns. The four-day visit will cover issues such as land conservation, transportation and the arts, all of which are topics of interest for the Park City community. The itinerary will include presentations with elected officials and staff in Aspen, as well as a session with a representative of the Aspen Skiing Company. Park City attendees will have the opportunity to take tours of downtown Aspen, the transit system and the affordable housing program. There is also a day of meetings scheduled with officials in Snowmass Village, Basalt and Carbondale. Park City tour director Myles Rademan came up with the idea to tour other cities in 1973 when he lived in Crested Butte. He officially brought the tradition to Park City in 1987.
