After a brief hiatus, the independent sound effects roundups are back – and let’s start out with this look at some new libraries that can be used as literally or as radically as you’d like:

The Inner ambience sound effects library is a collection of high definition sounds recorded inside various spaces using matched stereo contact microphones.
Each ambience has its own unique character and natural frequency modulation.
Some of them has constant velocity like an industrial hum, power block energy field, fans and compressors, while others have weird fluctuations like road columns affected by wind and passing-by cars, bridge columns, fences, water pipes: some of the mechanical and electrical sequences were recorded as well, such as water pump, lawn mowers, automatic window rollers, pool cover mechanism and others.
The audio files could be used, as they are – for dark, eerie, confusing atmospheres or elements in your game or film projects.
It is a good source for further manipulation and designing new sounds as it is recorded in 24/96. In addition to the pack there are designed sounds of these recordings to give you an idea of how you can push them in a different creative way and of course use it in your projects as well.

'Inner Ambience' by Protosfx captures reality and twists it into peculiarity. The Metal Contact sound library features the recordings of various metal surfaces tortured with different tools. From touching things with fingers, through hitting with metal bars and up to using blenders or magnets to cause the materials to resonate.
While recording this library my goal was to cover different needs, not only for sound designers but also editors. Scrapes and squeaks were recorded with different intensity and speeds, just like the impacts. From soft and quiet, through medium up to loud and reverberant ones.
In addition to the regular approach of just touching, hitting and scraping metal parts, I’ve decided to record few experimental sound effects. Thunder & Rain is a sound library that delivers the recordings of two storms. It includes a total of 46 audio files, split into three folders: STEREO, MS and UPMIX 5.1. It also comes with 40 audio files in the AS REC MS (NO De-Noise) folder.
