**About the Role:**

General Motors has made a major investment in SharePoint for collaboration, document management, search, and intranet workloads\. The Dealer Services and Systems team currently manages a newly created SharePoint 2013 farm for dealer collaboration\. The dealer environment serves as a communication channel and an application platform\. The primary application hosted in this environment is the dealer portal, commonly referred to as NextGen GlobalConnect \(NGGC\)\. The dealer portal is a business critical dealer application and the gateway to several other business critical dealer applications\. With hundreds of applications, multiple communication channels, and over 200,000 users worldwide, the SharePoint dealer environment is very large scale and complex\.

General Motors is seeking an experienced \.net Developer with strong development skills to manage the day\-to\-day operation of the SharePoint dealer environment and NextGen GlobalConnect dealer portal, ensuring reliable uptime, performance, system stability, and integration with external systems\. You duties will include performing SharePoint patches and upgrades, migration projects, developing installation and migration scripts, testing and deployment of SharePoint solution packages as well as troubleshooting and problem resolution\. You will also work with the Global Dealer Portals development team developing, deploying and maintaining the NGGC portal solution framework\.

**Major Duties/Responsibilities:**

+ Troubleshooting complex SharePoint authentication, profile sync, and other application issues
+ Monitoring and pro\-actively managing the environment
+ Managing development and test infrastructure
+ Development of PowerShell and other scripted solution packages
+ Development and maintenance of the NGGC solution framework
+ Documenting installation guides, run book and operational guides

**Qualifications**

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**

+ Expertise with SharePoint server installation, configuration and troubleshooting
+ In\-depth understanding of SharePoint capabilities, including Workflows, Search, Managed Metadata, Business Connectivity Services, User Profiles, Authentication, Security, etc\.
+ Well\-developed knowledge of solution development using SharePoint OOTB functionality, SharePoint APIs, \.NET, JQuery, HTML 5, CSS and related technologies
+ Proficiency with Team Foundation Server, SVN, and other code repository tools
+ Hands\-on experience with SQL, IIS, Windows Server•Knowledge of storage, network and server technologies related to SharePoint
+ Demonstrable knowledge of testing and validation•Excellent written and communication skills

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ 5\-7 years information technology experience in a large scale commercial enterprise
+ Career track record of engineering, developing \(coding\), deploying and maintaining business critical information technology solutions across a range of technical platforms
+ 5\-7 years of experience designing, developing, maintaining SharePoint\-based solutions
+ 1\-2 years of experience leading a team of developers and/or engineers
+ Previous experience in large scale project delivery using the agile methodology

**Education/Training:**

+ Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience required
+ MCSE, MCSD or related Microsoft certification preferred
