Job Description

As a Pricing and Market Analyst you would be responsible for:

* The development of any pricing analysis, bid review, and rate card creation for both existing customers and prospects
* Compile, evaluate, analyze and present statistical data (including pricing and margin, order lines, and historical sales) skillfully and creatively to provide maximum understanding and insight for the customer, Program Office, and management
* Develop pricing analysis and recommendations to support sales efforts
* Evaluate selected pricing contracts and price lists for accuracy and identifies opportunities to enhance margin while maintaining competitiveness
* Analyze data for data trends and present findings to internal and external customers
* Interface with internal & external customers to generate ad hoc or scheduled analytics
* Contributes to the development and enhancement of the analytics tools used and created in the achievement of departmental objectives
* Monitor, research and analyze market conditions/activity within customer base industries and geographies
* Conduct Market Analysis studies utilizing internal and external data and research to provide updated and relevant information across customer verticals
* Research Staffing industry trends and Customer industry related findings within assigned vertical, presenting findings and analysis for assigned verticals
* Validate and analyze rate data and pricing
* Analyze spend data – identifying changes and trends
* Perform rate analysis to confirm customer-specific rate compliance and identify and work with the Program Management Office to resolve any non-compliance
* Research new rate and market data resources and tools
* Customer interfacing (phone and email).
* Other duties, as assigned.

* Verify the implementation of solutions
* Controls further processing until defects have been corrected
Planning Requirements:

* Execute project plan tasks as indicated/ directed
Technology Skills Requirements:

* MS Office Suite
* MS Excel (Expert Level)
* MS Word
* MS PowerPoint
* Database concepts (MS Access preferred)
* Data mining and Analysis
* Analytical report writing
Required Experience

* Minimum 2-4 years’ experience providing statistical/business analytics in a medium-large company
* Experience with inflexible deadlines and non-predictive multiple tasks
* Must possess strong business analytical skills with thorough understanding of how to identify and interpret raw data and turn it into something meaningful and relevant
* Must also possess understanding of pricing and margin metrics.
* Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills required.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Access a plus.
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel advanced functions including V-lookup and pivot table functions, conditional formatting and extensive Logic functions.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (in HR, Statistics, or Business/Business Analytics) or equivalent work experience
