POSITION SUMMARY

Manage the Production Control group including budget and performance reviews/career plans of team members. Create and ensure implementation of department procedures, guidelines, and metrics. Ensure that customer receives orders in a timely, efficient manner

while achieving business objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage Group
• Ensure that group structure and staffing levels are in line with business requirements
• Hire and work with group to improve their skills and competencies, using feedback, coaching, motivation, and mentoring techniques
• Provide short-term tactical and mid-to-long range strategic leadership to group, including assessing department related risks & opportunities and making recommendations to management (e.g., new technology, industry innovations, or strategies)
• Implement associate development tools, including objective setting and the performance review process
• Ensure training needs are identified and met
• Ensure the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of effective, efficient, and common processes, procedures, and methodologies
• Ensure data is collected, analyzed and corrective actions implemented for group metrics
• Provide regular communication to the group on administrative issues and policies
• Assist HR with resolution of compliance, safety, integrity concerns, or grievances within group
• Support long-range and short-term group forecasts, goals, objectives, and priorities
• Prepare and maintain updated job descriptions ensuring functions are aligned with processes and procedures
• Resolve customer and internal issues to facilitate implementation of group objectives and achieve customer satisfaction
• Develop and manage group budget to reach or exceed its objectives and overall BU profitability

General
• Develop plans; allocate resources, and direct activities in support of PCD responsibilities for the assigned customer group
• Establish, manage, and optimize processes to evaluate customer demand, order finished product from manufacturing affiliates, and lead follow up actions to ensure sufficient and timely availability of inventory for prototype, preproduction, production, and

service parts for the assigned customer group
• Provide direction and support for Plant PCD Chiefs and Material Planning activities
• Interface with customer and manufacturing on Supply Chain Related issues

Inventory Management
• Support Sales and Operations Planning activities with affiliate and program team
• Develop and Manage Balance Out Strategies
• Ensure plant loads are completed and distributed by team when required
• Ensure all extraordinary expenses are managed and reported accurately to the responsible party

Customer Support/Program Support
• Ensure PCD support to coordinate engineering change timing, rework needs related to inventory, capacity planning, product transfer, etc.
• Ensure PCD participation as needed in cross-functional business unit meetings and projects
• Support, define, or allocate resources toward special projects or assignments as needed
• Attend and support key internal/external project meetings as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Degree Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
Certification Requirements: APICS classes or certification preferred
Previous Experience: 2+ years Management experience preferred
Experience in Material Resource Planning, Inventory Control, and the Automotive Sector
Travel Requirements: Domestic and foreign travel
On Call Requirements: As needed during peak times
